Karak Mqanes night market — Restaurant in Al-Daayen

This is more of a drive through experience. Cars are asked to park in front of the shop and a worker comes out to you to take the order and bring your order to you. This is how this place and all the other shops/restaurants operate this way. The shops are shipping containers converted into food joints.

Anyway, I park up, see a worker, and he acknowledges me. He is with another customer, so I let him be. He goes back into the shop. Couple of minutes later, I press the horn to let him know that I am still waiting to order, a couple of minutes pass again, and I horn again, and then I horn again a few minutes later, no response, no one is coming to take my order. So I go into the shop.

I place my order. There was a large gentleman working at the till, grey polo shirt, very rude. Anyway, I see the worker again and asked him why he didnt come to take my order. He laughed.

Seconds later, an Arab man in a car presses his horn and this worker goes running to serve him. When he came back, I asked him why he didnt serve me but went running to see an arab, he laughed again.

The large gentleman behind the counter also found this funny. I accused them both of racism.

Another worker who spoke Urdu/English tried to apologise, but I told him I dont want an apology, just a reason to why I wasnt served.

Anyway, seems like this place is reserved for Arabs only. So if you are not Arab they won't serve you.

Walking into this place was a jumpscare for our noses. Not to be mean, but the stench was crazy girl. I ordered karak because duh that was in the name of the place. But you guys won't believe it. He gave me syrup juice like grrah where's the chai I don't taste any karak??!!!! I went back and kindly asked if I could get a different drink because this wasn't what I was expecting and bro told me "not possible". I told him to toss both drinks.
