It’s rare to encounter a restaurant so obsessed with appearances yet so ignorant of what true hospitality requires. For any guests, especially expatriates, take this as fair warning: avoid this place entirely. The so-called manager, Ahmad, is a textbook example of misplaced confidence. His conduct reflected neither professionalism nor grace but the insecurity of someone clearly out of his league when faced with educated, well-mannered customers. From the moment we were seated, the difference in treatment was obvious, we, the only expats in the room, were treated as though our presence was a burden rather than welcomed. The servers had to be called over repeatedly just to get basic service. Drinks were placed on the table with visible irritation, one even slammed the drink, behaviour one might expect in a roadside stall, not an establishment pretending to be refined. Meanwhile, the restaurant’s so-called charm was accompanied by fruit flies circling the salads, an accurate reflection of its hygiene. The ultimate insulting experience came when Ahmad approached our table, not to check if we were satisfied but to tell us he “needed the table for other customers.” We had not even reached two hours, nor finished our drink orders. No other table was disturbed, only ours. This was not management. It was pure discrimination, plain and simple. We are three professional women from all parts of the world, polite, educated and paying customers. The offense lay not just in his words, but in his assumption that we would tolerate such treatment. For a place that tries so hard to appear sophisticated, it ends up exposing itself as something painfully lacking in all aspects, led by a man whose sense of power far exceeds his understanding of basic respect. The overcharge on the bill was merely the final confirmation that integrity here is non existent. If Ahmad represents management, then this restaurant is nothing more than an illusion of class, shallow and best avoided altogether. In addition to all of this, you’ll walk out reeking of a...

We booked beforehand so we were seated as soon as we arrived. All the portions in my opinion were fairly small compared to other restaurants in this price range. We started off with their Stuffed Burrata, it was a nice dish that was stuffed with pesto on top of tomatoes and lots and lots of fried garlic, I didn’t really enjoy that. Also got some of their Garlic Bread, I believe they just used parmesan cheese so it wasn’t really cheesy or melty, and made the bread fairly tough. The garlic flavor was nice with their garlic mayo on the side. The one dish that I would definitely order again were the Micro Slider Jalapeno. I was very surprised with the size though, they were really really tiny, 1-2 bites were enough, but I guess it makes sense from the name. The flavor was nice and the addition of sauce+jalapeno was delicious. Next we got the J Fusilli which didn’t really taste like a typical Italian dish, rather more homemade. It was pasta mixed in a spicy pink sauce, pieces of chicken and mushroom, with so much dried herbs. To finish off we tried their famous Tiramisu, and being someone who doesn’t like coffee flavor, this was actually really good, and I liked how they brought out the whole dish and scooped out some to your table. In general, all the dishes were mediocre, and I might visit again just for the Micro Sliders, Tiramisu and maybe try one of their pizzas.

Read moreI visited the restaurant with my friend, and she ordered the J Bolognese and Cheese thinking it was just spaghetti with tomato sauce. The menu did not clearly mention that it contains meat, which should be stated especially for people who don’t eat meat.
When we informed the waiter, he responded impolitely, saying “It’s known Bolognese is mixed with meat!” okay!! but how would we know? Not everyone is familiar with the dish, and it’s the restaurant’s responsibility to make it clear in the menu. He also said it couldn’t be returned, and we had to insist for it to be replaced with another dish.
I recommend the restaurant to make their menu descriptions clearer and for the staff to receive better customer...
