Our official dinner at Bayt El Talleh Restaurant with colleagues from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) during our stay in Doha for the AFC U23 Asian Cup was an exceptional experience. The restaurant’s location in Katara, a beautiful park nearby, provided a lovely atmosphere and scenic views. The seating arrangement was well-organized, accommodating our large group comfortably. We started with refreshing salads, flavorful felafel, and delicious appetizers, followed by a delightful main course featuring a variety of grilled kebabs—six plates in total—that I thoroughly enjoyed. One of our group members opted for shisha and was pleased with the offering. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our meal, enhancing our overall dining experience. The only minor drawback was the outdoor lighting, which could have been improved for a more ambient setting. Overall, Bayt El Talleh Restaurant offers an amazing dining experience that shouldn’t be missed. I highly recommend visiting at least once to savor the delicious food, welcoming ambiance, and attentive service.

We came during World Cup and we were dressed in national team jerseys, probably Managment decided that we were easy target to do oversell on us and they tried to scam us. First of all they said that only set menu will be served 190 per person, and we agreed, they bring salads and appetizers which were really good, then when we asked for main course they bring 1 plate with literally 8 pieces of meat, we were 4 very hungry persons. At the begging we thought that this plate was for one person, but the waiter confirmed that plate was for 4 persons. We were really frustrated, it was sad that I didn’t make a proper photo of what a joke was served. Then after arguing with managers they found a compromise to served us one more plate, but still for 4 persons the amount of main course items was a joke. If you are a visitor try to avoid this place by any means, as we were felt really frustrated after our dinner. It was the most degraded experience we had in our World Cup visit in Qatar.

بيت التلة in Doha offers a truly unique dining experience that lives up to its name. Perched atop a hill, the restaurant transports you to the ambiance of a Syrian or Lebanese eatery. You can reach it by car or take a scenic walk through small paths lined with grass and trees, leading to a grand gate. The warm welcome upon entry, along with the elegant attire of the receptionist and waitstaff, sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. The restaurant operates on a set menu per person, which is perfect for families. The meal starts with a variety of hot and cold mezze, followed by expertly grilled main dishes, and finishes with mouthwatering Arabic desserts. Service is quick, and the food is delicious. I visited at night, and the atmosphere was stunning, though I imagine it’s even more breathtaking during the day when you can fully appreciate the surroundings. With its beautiful setting and exceptional food, بيت التلة offers a complete dining experience.

The set menu has many good appetisers and desserts with only one main dish of grilled meat that sat us off, the chicken was overcooked and the beef/lamp was just okay. Service is beyond bad, we asked for drinks 3 times before we got it, we called one waitress and he looked at us then ignored us, it was obvious that they pay attention to specific customers nationality. The staff changed the seating while we were there and they were pulling the chairs and tables instead of carrying them, this ruined the tranquility of the restaurant and was very annoying. I love love the location, the view, the decoration, and the quiet atmosphere but will never go back again because of customer service and the quality of the main dish.
