Saffron Lounge - Katara زعفران لاونج- كتارا — Restaurant in Doha

Hey all… first of all pardon us for sharing pics after indulging. Truely, this place had it all! From one of the best refreshing mojito to the most delectable avadhi handi biryani… their garlic and coriander naan is definitely recommended with the yummy but not so greasy paneer kurchan! And finally the chef’s special dal makhani… am I impressed or am I super impressed!! They start your meal with a very delicious and flavorful dal shorba on the house, which I must say.. I was tempted to ask for more!!!

Finally, is it value for money… a definite yes! Amazing quality with huge portions. And they pack your food so well, must say… one of the finest Indian dining restaurants in Doha! If you haven’t tried it yet… I recommend an immediate indulgence. Situated in the oh so beautiful katara village, it’s eye Candy all the way.

And the final mentions, their menu does boast of some awesome chats which we couldn’t try , but it’s calling us back soon! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! The chef has some great skills up his sleeves… a dinner that we definitely make...

Truly one of the best dining spots in town! The ambiance is beautiful with a stunning view, making it perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

As vegetarians, we were delighted by the wide range of veg options. We tried the Bombay Chaat, Veggie Crunches (crispy veg patties), and the Subz Handi Biryani — everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. They also served complimentary papad and dal shots, which was a thoughtful and tasty touch.

The service was equally impressive. A special thank you to Guru, who made our experience even better with his warm and attentive hospitality.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Indian flavors, excellent service, and a relaxing setting. We’ll definitely be returning!

The SAFFRON Restaurant has always had a reputation for excellent Indian cuisine, delicately prepared and leaving a lasting taste of aroma filled with spices! On the 3rd day of Eid as we wanted to enjoy the FIREWORKS and food I phoned for a reservation. Unfortunately the Restaurant was not taking any bookings! However Manager Mr.Shibin assured me that he would accommodate the 4 of us to get a good view of the Fireworks! When we reached no Tables were available but Mr.Shibin arranged a premium Table within 15 minutes. Thereafter Supervisor Guru took our order and provided quality service to suit our needs. Of course the Fireworks were awesome! However the mouth watering food added an extra enjoyable dimension to the event. I recommend them highly for quality of food...
