We recently visited Harry’s Restaurant, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, no one was present at the reception, and it took a hotel employee, not restaurant staff, to summon someone to greet us. Despite the reservation, we were met with confusion over seating. We chose a different table due to our smaller party size, only to later be informed by the hostess that it wasn’t our designated table. While this could have been an easy fix, it already set a tone of disorganization.
Once seated, it took around 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order, despite staff moving around us. The server was polite and professional, but the delay continued with our food. Our appetizers, which we expected to be served quickly, arrived alongside our main dishes—and cold, no less, suggesting they had been waiting for a while. This may have been due to the restaurant’s recent opening, and although the staff were polite, the lack of coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house was noticeable.
However, the biggest letdown was with dessert. After ordering two different desserts, we found ourselves waiting a considerable amount of time. We checked in with various staff members, but each time were assured it would be “right away.” Finally, the manager came over to inform us—after over 30 minutes—that one of the desserts was unavailable. By then, the waiting had soured our experience, especially since this could have been communicated when we first ordered. When the manager offered an alternative dessert we had already declined, it felt like our preferences and time were being disregarded, leaving us frustrated.
The manager did apologize and provided his business card, ultimately only removing the appetizers from the bill.
In summary, while the staff was polite, the lack of coordination and delays were disappointing. I hope the restaurant can address these issues as...
Read moreFrom the moment we stepped into the Italian restaurant at Harry’s, we knew we were in for something special. The warm, inviting ambiance—complete with soft lighting, rustic wooden accents, and the gentle hum of Italian melodies—immediately set the tone for a cozy, authentic dining experience. But what truly elevated the evening from simply delightful to utterly memorable was the outstanding service provided by Marno. Marno exemplified what true hospitality should be. His approach was intuitive and thoughtful without being intrusive. He was knowledgeable about the menu, passionate about the ingredients, and genuinely invested in our experience. From suggesting the perfect wine pairing to ensuring our dishes were prepared exactly to our liking, Marno’s attention to detail and enthusiasm made a lasting impression.
He moved effortlessly between tables, creating a welcoming environment for everyone—whether first-timers or regulars. It’s rare to find service so personal and professional, and it added a deeply human touch to the meal. Marno turned a great dinner into an unforgettable experience.
Dining at Harry’s Italian restaurant isn’t just about the food—it’s about the entire journey, from the first greeting to the final course. Thanks to Marno’s impeccable service and the kitchen’s outstanding cuisine, we left feeling not just satisfied, but truly cared for.
This place is a gem, and with Marno leading the service, it sets a benchmark for hospitality. We can’t...
Read moreFood is very mediocre, the zucchini fritti was oily and tasteless, pasta verde was sour tasting and not very good, the seafood spaghetti was ok, nothing special, the bolognese was not good, some of the pasta wasn’t cooked well, the sauce was full of garlic shallots, the only good thing was the meat.
Service wasn’t good, they never brought out menus, we had to look up the menu because whenever we flagged the waiter they wouldn’t come, and it also took forever to take our orders. They only have 1 L water bottles and when I asked to take the rest with me because I would like to finish the rest and waste it they said I’m not allowed to take the bottle! That I paid for! But after some convincing I managed to take it with me. They also don’t clear the table throughout the courses.
The appetizers and main courses came out in appropriate time, but the dessert took forever to come out which was weird.
I don’t see myself coming back as the food was not that special and...
