NAZ Restaurant — Restaurant in Cluj Metropolitan Area

Having been to several restaurants in the last few days as we road-trip around Romania, the food here was arguably the best so far. The pulled pork was delicious and the Mac and Cheese very rich. The only reason I have to go for 4 stars is the service. There was a miscommunication over the bill. One dish was ordered but, language issues or whatever, the waiter recorded another dish (and no, the order was not read back or checked). So unexpected salad arrives rather than the pasta dish. My mother says okay, not a problem, she will have the salad instead. But then, 5 minutes later, the pasta dish does arrive. Okay - thank you for that. Then at end of meal they charge us for both! If we accept the wrong dish in lieu of the correct order we no longer want the correct order. If you deliver a quick-fix version of the correct order we assume you're being nice and trying to correct your error. Anyway. Please come here and eat the great food ... but carefully check your order has been...

Good brunch and dinner options, fresh cocktails( like Pinky blinders or whiskey sour twist) and diverse wine selection. The service was very prompt and attentive, made good recommendations of drinks and food, brought them at the same time so nobody had to wait. The cauliflower with coconut bacon was the most popular choice and not all could finish their serving. The slow cooked platter is fit for two, although it could work for three not so hungry people or with a side dish. Not many deserts, but the cake they have is a very creative combination, they spray it with rose water from a perfume bottle - an interesting experience. We went there for food but even though online it says the breakfast is served until 12:00 the waitress told us that it is only until 11:30. A bit disappointed that they did not offer to still serve breakfast because there was literally nobody there except for us. I would understand if you had a restaurant full of people for lunch but there was nobody.

Anyways, we had lunch and while the potatoes soup was good it kind of lacked the potatoes..we will probably give the restaurant another chance for dinner maybe or for other dishes but the first experience was a bit disappointing. Also, the restaurant was empty but we understand it might be because it is new.
