Definitely one of the best ciorba de burta I have ever had the pleasure of tasting! They also serve "ciorba de fasole cu ciolan in paine", and it's definitely something I'll be eager to try on my next visit to...

We brang our Czech friend at Hanul Dacilor on 7th of August to try “ciorba de fasole in paine” a traditional Transylvanian dish. Unfortunately I’m totally dissapointed that they are not using the bone smoked meat that is used in the traditional receipe and rather using a processed ham type of meat. Manager Adrian Hoptu came, and tried to walk me through with a cocky attitude that this is bone meat and asking me why im eating it if i dont like it.(I’m eating it because I’m starving but it’s not what your restaurant is advertising dear manager) I think the photo says it all. The bread pot is big and inside content looks more like a bean soup rather than a more creamy soup as its supposed to be. Also the portion of the soup is small. The kitchen balanced it with a big sized bread. Literally my mother cooks home a better dish than this one served here. Definitely would not order this dish again and considering if returning at this place again when also the customer handling from the manager is so poor. Altough the server was super nice, reason why i rate two stars instead of one. Would rate it 3* if the manager...

When we arrived for lunch , the place was almost empty. We asked the lady downstairs about the menu of the day. She had no idea. So we had to move upstairs. That's where we met the most rude ,unhelpful disgrace of a waitress . She was very irritated by every question we asked, and the answers were either "duh!" , "obviously " or " how am I supposed to know, I don't hang around the kitchen all day", rolling her eyes and flapping her arms every time. So, if you have a child with you ( as we did) and you want to know wether the meat is fried or grilled, good luck with that! Never mind the blandest, tasteless food. A few tiny pieces of chicken ( boiled and very salty) covered by a pile of vegetables( without a single pinch of salt) that were clearly bought frozen and then just heated. I also got the pickle of the day on my plate: four shreds of cabbage. I counted them. It was a mockery. And my friends have their own stories to tell. Dining out has always been a nice experience for me. This restaurant is the exception...

Nestled in the heart of the city, this charming eatery is a true gem for those seeking an authentic dining experience. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time, with its rustic decor and warm ambiance. The menu boasts a delightful selection of local delicacies, each dish bursting with flavor and prepared with care. From traditional stews to savory kebabs, every bite is a journey through the region’s culinary heritage. The attentive staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, offering recommendations and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Whether you’re a seasoned food enthusiast or simply curious to explore the local cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s an immersion into the rich tapestry of flavors and traditions that define this vibrant culture. Be sure to save room for dessert, as the homemade sweets are the perfect finale to an unforgettable culinary adventure.

The food was very tasty and plentiful, we couldn't finish it because the was too large. It is very traditional Romanian food, so don't expect to find baby vegetables here- it's a huge selection of very good meat variations with our without sauces and potatoes/polenta. Recommendation - add some burduf cheese to your order, it goes really well especially with polenta. In case you were wondering, they also have sarmale, the ultimate Romanian dish in my opinion, and they were very nice :) The staff was very friendly and spoke some English too. Definitely a recommendation for really good Romanian food!
