I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Lebanese restaurant that left me thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.
The menu boasted a wide array of traditional Lebanese dishes, and each one exceeded my expectations. The flavors were vibrant, the ingredients fresh, and the presentation impeccable. The restaurant’s commitment to authenticity was evident in every bite. The hummus was velvety and packed with flavor, the falafel perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the lamb kebabs were succulent and seasoned to perfection.
What truly elevated my experience was the exceptional service provided by Thari, our waiter. From the moment we were seated, Thari greeted us with a genuine smile and a warm welcome. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain each dish, making recommendations based on our preferences.
Thari’s attention to detail was remarkable. He anticipated our needs throughout the meal, ensuring our glasses were never empty and promptly attending to any requests we had. His friendly and professional demeanor added a personal touch to the dining experience, making us feel valued and well-cared for.
Furthermore, Thari’s passion for Lebanese cuisine shone through his interactions with guests. He was more than willing to engage in conversations about the food, sharing interesting anecdotes and insights about the origins and preparation of various dishes. His enthusiasm was contagious and added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was delightful, with attentive and well-coordinated staff working seamlessly to provide a memorable dining experience. The combination of outstanding food and Thari’s exceptional service truly made this Lebanese restaurant stand out.
In conclusion, if you’re searching for a Lebanese restaurant with fantastic food and remarkable service, I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this establishment. The flavors will transport you to Lebanon, and Thari’s warm and attentive service will leave a lasting impression. It’s an experience that will undoubtedly keep you coming...
Read moreA Mixed Dining Experience at Marhaba Lebanese Restaurant, Cluj Napoca:
The Marhaba Lebanese Restaurant in Cluj Napoca is a gem for food lovers with its authentic Lebanese cuisine that manages to enchant your palate. However, the overall dining experience is slightly marred by the subpar service.
The menu offers a variety of dishes and we were particularly impressed with the Fattoush salad, Hummus, Chicken Shawarma, and Baba Ganoush. Each dish was bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection and undoubtedly deserving of a full 5-star rating.
The location too adds to the charm of Marhaba. Nestled in the heart of Cluj Napoca, the restaurant exudes authenticity, with a meticulous focus on details. The decor and ambiance transport you to Lebanon, making your dining experience even more immersive. Just like the food, the location is a solid 5 stars.
However, where Marhaba fell short was the service. We had a new waiter, who unfortunately did not speak either Romanian or English. This proved to be a significant barrier in communicating our needs, and thus hampered our overall experience. In terms of service, I would give it no more than 3 stars.
Despite this, the superb quality of food and the inviting atmosphere makes Marhaba a worthy destination for fans of Lebanese cuisine. I hope the management will address the language barrier issue in the future, to ensure a seamless dining experience for all patrons.
Overall, Marhaba Lebanese Restaurant presents an excellent dining experience with just a small area for improvement. Recommended for a visit if you are a foodie who enjoys Middle Eastern cuisine, but be prepared for potential communication...
Read moreLocation: Zorilor area on one of the 2 main city arteries.
Parking: They have a few spots in front of the restaurant. If you don’t get a spot, then it might be a bit tricky. Worst case scenario, on the surrounding streets. As it’s semi-central, you should find free spots around.
Service: It’s one of the few places in Cluj with mostly foreign staff on the floor, so ideally you speak English. Not sure if anyone speaks Romanian there - haven’t checked. The place is clean and a lot of people eat here, so people probably like it. I felt that there was no love towards the clients from any of the staff. The feeling was bland, almost like a tourist place where you go eat on your trips. I feel this can be greatly improved.
Mood: People seemed to feel good there. We were at a b’day party so everyone had fun - wine and stories all night and we felt great.
Music: Arab music. Couldn’t understand anything, but was nice. They could play manele and I’d have zero clue. Hope they don’t! :))
Food: It was really good - and we tried 5-6 dishes. However, our Tunisian brother/friend said it’s the best in Cluj, but not the best traditional food. And I know, it’s a Lebanese place, so each might have different ways of eating certain dishes.
Prices: Bit pricey, however, you get what you pay for. And no chance to find anything as good anywhere else in lovely Cluj-Napoca.
Toilets: The toilets were okay-ish. Probably lots of customers. Could use a bit more attention.
Conclusion: I’d go there again for this kind of food. Cluj is rather limited in options. Staff could use some training and improve their...
