Hotel Meridian — Hotel in Cluj Metropolitan Area

Over the phone we were quoted 510 RON, at the front desk we were told it's actually 610 RON and upon check-out we were told it's going to be 630 RON. I don't know if this is a standard practice to get you to make a reservation but definitely will not return here again. Small rooms, small beds, not enough parking, and service is mediocre. /// T Response to the owner: at the time of the check-in the girl at the front desk told us that she's sorry but she thought I said there was only 2 adults and that's why she said there's going to be 100 RON extra. But upon check-out, the Clerk in the morning told us he's sorry AGAIN! but the Clerk on the night shift was wrong. It was actually 120 RON. So, we will not return to a place that misleads people into checking in to a place, only to find out that it's price will go upon check-out. Your customer service lacks professionalism. This is one of my favorite hotels that I stayed in and Cluj is one of the best cities I visited in 2025. The hotel provides excellent service, on a small scale, not at all like a grand palace in a center location or like a corporate chain, but something more personal, which I liked very much. The feeling is thus more intimate and small, yet still quite professional. Thus I felt that this hotel gives the flavor of the city. The room was large and well proportioned, and very quiet and bright. Breakfast was very good, with something different each day. There was plenty of breakfast food to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Meridian! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—both at the reception desk and during breakfast.
