Restaurant Shanghai — Restaurant in Cluj Metropolitan Area

Have eaten there many times in the past year, always good. Good home delivery as well. The summer terrace is so nice. The staff are all congenial (including the delivery fellow). There is one waiter there who has an Arab first name and is from Syria who always makes us feel at home and is a great guy.The best place we have eaten so far in Cluj. I have tried to order (the first time) by name and was told it must be by number. They need to educate the staff on ordering for delivery. Great place to get food, they have a wide variety of dishes to choose from. They have it nicely broken down into types of meat or veggie as a base.

As long as you know what meat you prefer and don't mind soms strong flavours, you won't go wrong with almost any dish hers.

The prices are on the expensive side, but you do get generous portions. The restaurant has a very nice terrace that is far from rhe street so you can enjoy some quite time.

We got the pork with everything dish and rhe fried rice with egg and shrimp. Also got the wonton soup and beef soup. Our favorites were the beef soup and pork with everything. The fried rice was quite lacking in flavour.

This is our fourth time eating at this restaurant. Every year we visit Romania we eat at this restaurant. This time it was not so good. They are definitely loosing their touch. I read in previous reviews that they are cutting corners on ingredients and starting to use pre-packaged ingredients. I ordered the Szechuan chicken, and it had a foul smell, and taste. I had 4 other people at the table taste it, and they agreed. They also had been regulars at Shanghai, and they agreed that Shanghai is not what it used to be.
