This is to inform you about the bitter & discriminatory experience I received at the BAGA bar.
I came to Baga Bar at around 7:15 PM & sat on the very first table at Shamiyana (outside). I asked for English menu which was handed over to me promptly.
I selected the dish to order & was waiting for a waiter to come and take the order. Many waiters came to serve the tables near me but did not pay any heed despite repeated requests.
I asked the lady servant who was standing there with menu cards, who in turn requested waiter to serve me...but no waiter came to take order. Though other customers (being Russian) were served very well & I was the only one whom your waiter/waitresses were ignoring.
After around 50 minutes wait, I decided to leave the Bar in despair, when one waitress came to take order reluctantly.
I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Two Garlic nans, Veg Pakora & Coca Cola. After around 25 minutes, the waitress came with an order, but to my surprise she had brought an additional dish (Basmati Rice) which I had not ordered. I told her that this dish was not ordered but she could not understand English. She in turn sent another lady to address me, who very arrogantly told me that I had ordered all those plates. I kept her telling that I did not ordered the Rice but she did not listen.
I was surprised by the rude & unwelcome behaviour of your staff. I am an Indian Citizen & had been staying in Moscow since last 15 days for official work. I had been treated very well by Russian people & was overwhelmed by Russian people’s love, hospitality, & cultured behaviour. Baga bar’s incidence is the only bad thing I experienced & would leave a permanent bad impression about arrogant nature of Russian people. You claim your Bar as an Indian and have designed the interior of bar very well with Idols of Hindu Gods to represent the Indian culture.
Please stay true to the Indians Motto too...
Read moreThe menu is Uzbek, Japanese, Indian, Georgian and Russian food is very taste, large choice of food and drinks. Cocktails are very good. The service was fair and always friendly, waiters wear police uniforms. Food menu is available in Russian and English language, our waiter understood English. You could smoke the narghile, they have also a huge choice. The prices are fair, consider that you are in Moscow center The interior is Indian themed restaurant. The location is perfect for size group, the atmosphere is very funny. On Friday and Saturday I recommend booking because it is very popular. Security is very good and reassuring, the bouncers always checking in professional manner and control all situation and acting before reach not return point. As you enter the restaurant "receptionists" ask you to take off the jackets to the wardrobe. Live DJ set is also available during the weekend, its ok if you want to dance or drink a cocktail. After 11 p.m. oclock they start live music. If you haven't finished your food, you can ask to be packed to take out It is located close to the underground station novokuznetskaya (green line number 2); the restaurant itself is big, there is a very nice and huge veranda during the...
Read moreI think it was the summer of 2018 when I and my Scottish friend went to this place. He had high expectations of Baga Bar and anticipated this visit. The first thing that killed me was that the host (administrator) didn't speak English. If I wasn't Russian, my friend would have had serious troubles with communication and making an order because the waitress didn't speak English as well. It's a shame for a pricey place in the city center. The waitress was, in my opinion, rude when my friend tried to be friendly and explain her he was from Scotland, and she just squeezed out an impolite, impatient smile, her face telling us "will you shut up and make an order?" The food was brought to us an hour later. And it was cold. The beer tasted awful. We waited for the bill another half an hour. I remembered this experience because my other friend from Germany wanted to visit Baga. I wouldn't recommend this...
