Santorini Gyro — Restaurant in London

Having read all the glowing reviews, and with the weather being almost Mediterranean today, I popped down to Santorini for lunch and can only say that I wish I had been there before.

Service was quick and polite, and I was informed that my lamb gyros would take about eight minutes, which gave me time to go to Sainsbury’s.

The gyros itself was delicious, with plenty of succulent lamb, garlicky tzatziki, fresh salad and oregano-sprinkled chips, all in a soft, pillowy pitta bread. Top notch!

And on top of that, it was only seven quid! Frankly, it’s an absolute bargain and I will be back soon to try the chicken souvlaki wrap.

Has this place recently changed ownership? I remember having a very enjoyable meal here about a year ago, but unfortunately, my recent visit was quite disappointing. The quality of the food and overall experience didn’t match previous standards. I also noticed a strong preference for cash payments, which felt a bit uncomfortable. So, I ordered from Santorini Gyro via Uber eats today and I ended up with someone else's dinner, thanks to a careless Uber driver. I rang the restaurant to ask for their help. The owner very kindly advised me to make a claim for a refund to Uber via the app (which I did successfully). I then asked how I could now place a new order as I didn't want to use Uber again, and he said he'll take it over the phone and deliver it to me personally! What an absolute star ⭐️!
