Mohalla — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

I never recommend this place to anyone who love pure Indian food, the food is tooo costly compared to many other Indian restaurants,

The taste is not at all as Indian food, They modified to something totally different, possibly it fits to 0 spicy lovers but A Big NO for true India food lovers.

I took something called chicken handi desh and its like eating raw chicken, the grave with onion seems not cooked at all with No taste.

We ordered biryani but what we got something like yellow rice mixed with some curry. No were taste or looks like actual Biryani.

The only dishe which is quite ok was chicken Tikka kababa.

If you are looking for something pure indian dishes then don't expect it but if you're plan to have time pass in some quiet and relaxing places, it can be good place.

They got good outside seating area were you can relax.

Over all I give them 3-4 out of 10 in terms of food. 6 out of 10 for seating...

Visited Mohalla a few days back with some friends. Just like everyone mentioned, it is a wonderful place to spend quality time with family and friends.

My first impression of the place was not great because being a party of all men, we were seated outdoors. If you are also in such situation, choose the ground floor seating area near water body. In such hot weather, it wasn't a pleasant experience. There are two portable ac units but they were not enough.

Our starters and drinks were nice, tasty and arrived on time. Staff was very courteous (I even met a fellow Bhopali). We ordered a mix of veg and non-veg items and I didn't hear anyone complaining. The food wasn't spicy per se (as we Indians usually like to eat) but it was flavorful and fragrant nonetheless.

The only star I reduced is because of outdoor seating. When someone pays close to SAR200 per person, such things should be...

Good Food, Terrible Service

I visited this restaurant again after a year, expecting the same great experience I had before. While the food quality is still good, everything else has completely fallen apart.

The service was shockingly bad. The staff were rude, inattentive, and clearly not interested in serving customers. We had to ask multiple times just to get basic things like bill printed receipt and waited in billing counter helpless and even then, we were met with attitude instead of hospitality.

It’s hard to believe this is the same place I once recommended to friends. The contrast from my last visit is night and day. A restaurant can’t survive on food alone – when the service is this poor, it ruins the entire experience.

Won’t be coming back unless they seriously fix their staff and service. Very...
