Very disappointing experience We booked a farewell dinner for our Program Director and invited 30 colleagues, expecting a proper Lebanese dining experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but.
Lebanese restaurants are known for their generosity, but Wafi Gourmet was shockingly stingy. We were served a set menu, yet the portions were ridiculously small. Imagine serving four pieces of معجنات for six people—something you would never see in any other Lebanese restaurant in KSA or worldwide. Everyone was still hungry, so we politely asked the waiter to bring enough food to actually feed our guests. They added a couple of items and wasn't even enough. EVERYONE LEFT DISAPPOINTED
The total bill came out to 6,000 SAR, and despite that, they still charged for the additional items—something any decent restaurant would have just accommodated, given the situation. And to top it off, the food itself wasn’t even that great.
Overall, it was a frustrating experience. If you’re looking for real Lebanese hospitality and good food, there are plenty of better options in KSA. Definitely wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreIn terms of the portions, it is certainly understandable to feel disappointed if they were smaller than expected. It's possible that the restaurant has made a decision to reduce portion sizes, perhaps as a cost-saving measure or to encourage diners to order multiple dishes. However, it's important for customers to feel satisfied with the amount of food they are receiving, so it's unfortunate that this was not the case for you.
Similarly, the issue with water and juice is concerning. It's essential for diners to have access to enough water to stay hydrated, especially during the summer months. It's disappointing that you had to repeatedly ask for water and juice, which suggests that the staff may not have been attentive to your needs.
Not recommend at all in Ramadan due to their abstinence tactics, I will give them 2 out of 5 because of that, however to be fair the food...
Read moreI’d like to thank the staff for their service. They were working very hard and making up for the lack of support they had. Unfortunately the service was terribly slow and that is not due to their lack of hard work but due to the lack of staff they had on 1st day of Eid. It’s surprising to not be prepared for such a busy day an and would put the blame on whoever made that decision. On another note, when the complain was relayed to the manager, me and the 5 other people with me were really disappointed with his response “this is the situation” - and the way he carried the conversation was not up-to standard. In fact I’d like to make it clear that the kind waiter who served us on that day was actually more understanding and more applogetic and had a sincere approach towards us. So thank you for the staff but not for the manager.
On a better note the food was...
