A Tale of Decor and Disappointment
As a connoisseur of fine dining experiences, I approached Twina with a heart full of anticipation and a stomach ready for culinary delights. Nestled in the lap of a high-class district, the restaurant's facade whispered promises of luxury. The decor inside? Nothing short of opulent. It was as if every piece of furniture had a story to tell, and I was all ears.
With excitement bubbling, I approached the reception, where I was promptly booked for what I expected to be an evening of indulgence. But alas, the first twist in the tale unfolded – I was directed to pre-purchase my meal at the cashier. A peculiar practice for what seemed a bastion of high dining, but who am I to question tradition?
Surrounded by a sea of employees, none of whom seemed particularly eager to assist, I found myself in a queue, waiting to order. "Patience is a virtue," I reminded myself. The menu, accessible via a QR code, was as elusive as the staff's attention – small, unenlargeable, and frankly, a test of one's eyesight.
Frustration mounted, and with a heavy heart, I exited the establishment, my appetite unsatisfied. The prices, as towering as the decor, were not justified by the hospitality – or lack thereof. While Twina may have its admirers, I ponder, for service that leaves one high and dry, why should I return?
In conclusion, Twina is a paradox – a visual feast yet a hospitality famine. Should you venture there, may your experience be as grand as the decor and not as diminutive as the service.

Read moreI can't comment about the food as I didn't eat here. However, the staff's attitude is horrible and unwelcoming. The staff didn't seem to want to deal with us, and one male staff member basically forced one of the female staff members to help us. My friends and I walked past and saw shisha pipes on a counter and some people smoking, so we decided to stop and smoke there. We sat down and waited for almost ten minutes before we even got a menu. We only got the menu because we asked for it. There was no shisha on it, so I asked for a shisha menu. I was told there wasn't a menu. I've lived in Saudi Arabia long enough to know that there is always a list of flavours to choose from. Then, one staff member started listing some flavours in Arabic while another one translated. There was clearly some debate about the flavours between them. At this point, we lost patience and left. The staff then seemed to realise they were losing our business and tried to get us to stay. We'd had enough at this point, though, and we left. I can only assume the attitude is because we speak English and not a lot of Arabic, but we all have lived here for a while and can communicate in most situations with some basic Arabic. The staff here, though, were extremely unwelcoming and not even willing to try. I'll never go back there again. This experience ended what was a lovely night...
Read moreGreat Place I can see the owner had invested a lot of money to bring this place into a great standard. The food is really fresh and great.
The main problem is the serving, even though I can see lot of people hired to serve customers there is no dedication I can see the people servicing on table. No welcome when you enter after I started the conversation one of a 2 receptionist greeted me. No one tell you where to go if you are new to the place you have ask them for directions Once you go to your booked table after your food order no one to greet Everyone show you fingers of the directions there is nobody accompanied to you at the table I went alone and waitress asked I am alone and then removed all the other plates, and kept only spoon Baked crabs served without any sides even though it’s expansive Fried fish arrived immediately and again no sides When I asked to serve bread it took them 15 min to serve the bread. I had to ask fork and knife I had to ask them a tissue I had to ask them for water what a waste of energy for writing the experience No one was bringing the bill to me and I had to go for the payment and I paid at the counter like a regular grocery store 🤦♂️
Overall the money of the owner is burning I can clearly see it, the staff seems untrained to treat a guest in a...
