AlForno Restaurant — Restaurant in Makkah Al Mukarramah

absolutely delicious. this place has very good food and a strong selection of menu items. though getting to the place was hectic, finding it on google maps was awful and we ended up having to call the number listed on the google maps listing. we had been searching for 2 days for this restaurant since it was so highly rated, and google said it was inside of this shopping centre. turns out, it was actually inside of a secret/hidden hotel! we went inside and they were closed! google says they close at 4 but we arrived at 3:30. thats alright, we tried it again the next day, this time we just about arrived at 2:30, but then they denied us to come in as we had just missed out on the time boundary set for the last orders being taken! however, once we got there again the same day after they reopen, there were some confusion with the waiter thinking we were here for the buffet and i thought we were getting kicked out, after two days of consistently trying to eat here. luckily the head chef spoke more english than the waiter so all misunderstandings were cleared up. I know this is a review that seems to be droning out, but i felt it was necessary to list the struggles we went through with finding the place which is a fault with google maps not being clear enough on where it’s located

the food quality itself was very good, exceeded any expectations. I had ordered a lamb shank with the saffron risotto and that was so good, tender meat with creamy yellow and fragrant risotto, garnished with a sprig of rosemary and the rim plated with pomegranate molasses. these flavour combinations were an explosion in my mouth and were well done. however, the complaint i have is that i was only able to eat half of my meal, as the AC was blasting us with cold air and made the food cold and unappetising which was a shame. the portion sizes were huge though. atmosphere was very bougie but surprisingly the restaurant is never busy. we also got a performance when one person on the table ordered a pasta dish, which was very...

I recently had the pleasure of dining with my family at Alforno Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Zain The Host, From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the host, who made me feel instantly welcome. Their professionalism and genuine friendliness set the tone for the entire evening. The food at Alforno is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and prepared with evident care. The staff were attentive, courteous, and knowledgeable. Hotel was overall perfect but I would like mention about our experience in a la carte restaurant . It was extraordinarily good. I never felt that much special at any other restaurant. Foods were so delicious but I must say that service of Mr Alaa and Shoail and Fahad, Shabbir, Arif made this experience magnificent.
