IHOP — Restaurant in Makkah Region

Allow me to share with you my humble experience in IHop (yes it is open again from a while)...

We love to provide you with the perfect evaluation for several places around, specially breakfast restaurants because we have suffered alot when it comes to select a place for our Breakfast 🥞🍳, but most of the varieties around are not worthy of trying specially whatever the Social Media Parasitic Hoaxs advertise recommend for Money, only Pathetic Followers fall into such trap , that's why we want to provide an extremely honest experience for any place we attend to, for the sake of awareness , so stay tuned...

1- Place and the design:

When you enter inside 💠, you will feel that you have entered into some Vantage American Classic Roadway Restaurants in the middle of no where near an old Gas Station ⛽ Vibes, the colours, the patterns, the design, they have renovated the the whole thing, the cousy seats the great community the happiness of the place talking to you, still, i wish if they have used more space by taking down the separating walls 🧱 between seats as they have quite good unused spaces, also there is no specific Water Closet 🚾 for the restaurant, but despite all of this, they earn 6/10.

2- The hospitality:

Actually i can't express how was the overwhelming welcoming of their lovely crew, they were experts with their professionality and extreme care of all what we need following all the precautionary regulations for our safety, although the great job they have done understanding the need exactly as we wanted, they were surprisely fast 8/10.

3- Our order and the food quality:

We have ordered Pancake Combo 🥞, With Eggs 🍳 and Bacon Stripe 🥓, French Toast Combo, with eggs🥚and sausage 🌭 and they all comes with golden hash brown with 2 coffee latte ☕ also, the ingredients were 7/10 fresh, the look was nice with the Pancake 🥞 softness 7/10, the taste was delicious due to the Carbs effect 7/10, and the quality of the food for the Price 💰 6/10 so far.

4- The experience conclusion:

I would like to describe how much we were glad and delighted that they have opened IHop again after it's closure for quite time, and how exciting we were to check out the place and the lovely taste again of their delicious Pancakes 🥞, and the toppings, by the way our favourite toppings were 3 of 4 , Maple (old fashioned), Butter Pecan and the Strawberry 🍓 Syrup, the glimpse of Vintage Fall Out vibe can be felt clearly, and they could have brought it on, if they just could focus on decoration more, but regretfully they are restricted with the franchise specific norms and standards which sometimes doesn't give the whole picture or experience of the original branches due to the region differences and here they have to put extra efforts on the internal design of the place to provide more origin , identification and authenticity to the Name so it can reach the heart of the people, so they can live the experience for real, despite all of that, we are certain of enjoyment we had in this place which made it one of the good Breakfast Restaurants in Jeddah city in our opinion and if there is another, refer/share it so we can try it out 7/10.

I recently paid a visit to the newly reopened Ihop, and let me tell you, I was in for quite a shock. While I initially had hopes for a delightful dining experience, those dreams were quickly crushed by the restaurant's audacious and unjustified price increase. It seems that in their quest for profit, Ihop has decided to take advantage of unsuspecting customers like myself.

Oh, but wait! Before you jump to defend yourselves, dear Ihop, let me enlighten you about a little thing called food delivery apps. Yes, I'm well aware that these apps operate separately and offer cheaper prices, including delivery. Isn't it fascinating how the same dishes can miraculously become more affordable when ordered from the comfort of our own homes?

Now, one might assume that the experience of sitting in a restaurant, enjoying the ambiance, and being served by attentive staff would warrant a higher price. However, it seems that Ihop believes this grants them the right to engage in an act of sheer extortion. How delightful!

Oh, dear customers, allow me to offer you a word of advice. Should you find yourself contemplating a visit to this particular branch of Ihop, do yourself a favor and whip out your handy-dandy food delivery app. Take a moment to cross-check the prices and behold the stark difference. Witness how Ihop brazenly charges you an exorbitant amount for the very same dishes you can have delivered to your doorstep for a fraction of the cost.

I must admit, it's a truly enlightening experience when you realize you've been taken for a ride. The food may taste the same, but the bitterness of knowing you've been overcharged lingers long after the last bite. So, my dear readers, allow this review to serve as a warning. Should you dare to venture into this den of price gouging, prepare to bid farewell to your hard-earned money and say hello to disappointment.

In conclusion, Ihop's price increase is an outright disgrace. The sheer audacity to extort customers by charging astronomical prices compared to the more reasonable rates offered online is truly astounding. Should you value your wallet and your sanity, I implore you to think twice before stepping foot into this newly opened store. Trust me, once you witness the daylight robbery taking place right in front of your eyes, it will undoubtedly be your last...

Disappointed with Our Recent Visit

We’ve enjoyed this place in the past, but this visit was disappointing. The pancakes were noticeably smaller, and the fries came in a much smaller portion than usual. It was also very warm inside, despite it being 42°C outside, the AC didn’t seem to be functioning properly, which made things uncomfortable.

We ordered the Birthday Cake Pancakes, but they were plain pancakes with a topping, not like the images shown on the menu. Also, my son’s fork had a sweet, maple-like taste while he was eating eggs, which raised some concern for us about whether it had been thoroughly cleaned.

We also found the service lacking during this visit. We brought up our concerns to a manager, who left shortly after, and another manager came. Unfortunately, the response felt dismissive. One of the comments made was “If the fork was dirty, it would’ve stuck to the napkin,” which we didn’t find reassuring. There was no apology or effort to address our concerns, and we left feeling...
