Stepping into Noble felt like being transported straight to the heart of Old Damascus. The ambiance of the restaurant was absolutely captivating, reminiscent of the grand courtyards of traditional Syrian homes. The intricate woodwork, colorful stained-glass windows, and the soothing trickle of a central fountain created a setting that was both charming and deeply nostalgic. It was like walking into a slice of history, carefully preserved to deliver an authentic experience.
The menu at Noble was a testament to the richness and diversity of Syrian cuisine. Having tried most of the dishes, I can confidently say that every bite was a celebration of flavor, texture, and aroma. From the moment the freshly baked manakish arrived at the table, warm and fragrant, I knew I was in for a treat.
The appetizers were a delightful start. The creamy, smoky mutabbal, perfectly balanced tabbouleh with its bright burst of parsley and lemon, and the velvety smooth hummus were standouts. Each dish was served with fresh, pillowy bread that paired beautifully with the dips.
The main courses were nothing short of spectacular. The kibbeh was crispy on the outside, tender and perfectly spiced on the inside. The shish tawook was succulent and flavorful, marinated to perfection, while the fattet hummus was a revelation—layers of crunch, creaminess, and just the right hint of garlic.
One of the highlights was the mashawi, a platter of expertly grilled meats that were juicy and aromatic. It came alongside fragrant rice and roasted vegetables, completing a feast fit for royalty. The yabraq (stuffed grape leaves) were equally unforgettable, each bite bursting with savory and tangy notes.
To round off the meal, the dessert menu offered a delightful array of Syrian sweets. The knafeh, with its golden, crispy exterior and gooey, cheesy center, was heavenly. Paired with a cup of strong, aromatic Arabic coffee, it was the perfect way to end the evening.
The service at Noble was exceptional. The staff were attentive, warm, and eager to share the stories behind the dishes, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.
In summary, Noble offers more than just a meal—it’s a journey into the soul of Syrian culture and cuisine. The flavors are vibrant and authentic, the atmosphere enchanting, and the experience unforgettable. Read moreWe tried Nobles today and we will for sure come again. It all starts with the authentic ambiance of the restaurant that takes you back to old Syrian settings with the water fountain at the entrance and the sound of water, birds and calmness that meets you. The restaurant is big in space. We were supported by Mohamed Attar who added his own touch in order taking. He provided very genuine and honest feedback and recommended the best based on our preferences. He also had that nice touch of dealing with my young one. Mohamed Shabir was also there to support in bringing the food from the kitchen and last cleanups and did that very discretly and nicely. We tasted their fatoush, water crescent with halloumi salad and hommos for appetizers and they all did not fail on taste. Our mains were the mixed barbecue, freekeh, pumpkin with chanks which we requested be served with rice and finally mansaf. They all were exquisite and tasty. Yet if you like the stuffed pumpkin from the Armenian cuisine, the stuffed pumpkin at Nobles has a way different taste to it as it is served with plain yellow rice or freekeh, chanks and with honey, without nuts or dried fruits, so order it keeping that in mind 😊. The cherry on top of the cake was that for each main, the other one was for free; an offer they have from Saturday to Wednesday. A Definitely recommended place to try if you are craving or wanting to try...
