Some good and bad things about the restaurant :
The Bads:
1- some of the Filipino staff are rude and they might ignore you if you are talking to them directly about something/anything in the menu(happened to us) and they kind feel dead inside or joyless.
2- we ordered 3 pizzas, three different types: rocola, margherita and pepperoni; all of them tasted extra salty for some reason we weren't sure whether it was the cheese or the marinara sauce but we all agreed that it was really salty.
3- some of the stuff on the menu are overpriced like the NON-REFILLABLE Coca-Cola 250ml glass bottle that is 11sr and when i asked the the waiter he looked at me and ignored just like I said at first(this was the second time he ignores a question) then i asked another waiter who was an Arab he told me something about their policy BS, what really pissed me off is that there is a grocery store literally right next to the restaurant, 3-4 meters away from our table and i wasn't able to bring anything including water, i understand that it's not allowed to bring any foods/drinks from outside the restaurant but not allowing me to buy water to force me to buy over priced drinks like Evain's water, it's like selling water by the river side ffs.
4- there are 3 appetizers and they are literally the same.
5- all the pizzas we ordered were large ones but their size were around like 12`inchs in diameter or even less, i understand that it's an Italian pizza but they were priced at around 50 sr or more for one pizza only, if I'm gonna pay 50 sr for a large pizza it better be large/huge and it better taste good not too salty, if i ever want a large pizza i'd go to a place called Yellow Cap Pizza, their largest pizza is in the size of an arm in diameter and it's starts around 50 sr
6- i ate a whole pizza, i felt hungry still and i regretted it because the pizza was too salty and i could get water from the grocery next door.
The goods:
1- the place makes you feel like if you were in little Italy in New York.
2- if you wanna go out on a date this is the perfect place, it's romantic, cozy, no kids most of the time, fancy level restaurant and everything is over priced so your partner will appreciate that you took him somewhere expensive.
3- perfect for people with small appetite
Conclusion:
This place is overrated and i will never go there again and i will not recommend this restaurant to a friend or anyone who is reading this expect if you're going on a date ;) go to Yellow Cap Pizza it's better and...
Read morePlace has a great atmosphere. Definite 5 star. The pizza? Well, the crust around the edge was perfect, but moving toward the center, it was paper thin. Sicilian style. When lifting a slice, it was like picking up a wet rag. The flavor? I must say, it was delicious. So if you like tasty wet rag slices surrounded by great ambiance, then this is the place for you. I dont fancy wet rags, but I will be back for the overall feeling I had.
5 Jan 22 I need to update my review...pizza in this new year is terrible. ALL the toppings literally fell off as I lifted a slice. This was the replacement pizza as well! The first one was extremely wet. Terrible!!!
13 June 25 3 years later and no improvement. Maybe worse. I just returned from dining there. This is how it went. Once again, the topping on the slice just slid right off, leaving a thin, uncooked, wet floppy piece of dough. How on earth can anyone eat that. This isn't pizza! It was taken back and replaced with a new pizza. No difference at all. I was starving and had to eat something, so let's try a risk-free meal...pasta! I ordered the pesto pasta, aldente. OMG! It must've boiled for 2 minutes. It was like chewing rubber. These cooks need to visit Italy and learn how to cook properly. I seriously do not know how they stay in business because it isn't the food. Absolutely,...
Read morePRICE DOESN'T MATCH THE PIZZERIA! Are you paying for the ambiance or the food? Great location and a very nice ambiance with great decor. But the service and food just don't match the price. My most recent review on Urth Cafe I spoke about being FRUGAL and wanting more bang for my buck. This place left me with less buck and more hunger. The quality of the ingredients are there and you can taste the FRESHNESS. Yet, the dough tends to be to soft and not have any crunch to it. I've been other places like Eataly and Scalini that don't have the quality of ingredients but the same portions for 20 sar less. The Pizza was a little over priced but still very tasty. The pasta on the other hand was complete rubbish. I thought they forgot the other half of the portion as well as the taste. At 76 sar it was an absolute waste of taste and money. The flat water was 26 sar for a large bottle and the staff got our order wrong twice. Overall, the pizza is good but a little over priced and undercooked. The pasta is very dissatisfying and Way overpriced. The ambiance is great and the idea of letting children make their own pizzas is brilliant. If I go back it will solely be...
