Very disappointing experience at Aseeb Diriyah branch.
I truly love Aseeb- I’ve been to the Anas Ibn Malik branch several times and always had a wonderful experience there in terms of hospitality, service, and food quality. Unfortunately, my first visit to the Diriyah branch was completely the opposite.
I had a guest visiting from Oman and wanted her to experience authentic Saudi food in one of Riyadh’s most historical areas, so Aseeb seemed like the perfect choice. Sadly, the experience was embarrassing. The level of hospitality, service, and even the taste of the food were far below Aseeb’s usual standards.
The rice with lamb was full of fat, and the meat was very tough to cut. I asked for a replacement or at least more lamb, but no action was taken. I ordered white jareesh and was served red instead. They replaced it, but not before mistakenly serving our order to the wrong table, then taking it from our table to serve others, which was very unprofessional.
I also asked for extra sauce for the rice, which only arrived after I had already finished eating. To make things worse, unlike my previous visits to the other branch, we were not served Saudi coffee or lugaimat after our meal, something Aseeb is usually known for and that adds a nice authentic touch to the experience.
The staff didn’t take our complaint seriously, and no compensation or discount was offered. Overall, this experience was disappointing and not reflective of the Aseeb I know and love. I truly hope management pays attention to improving the service and food quality at...
Read moreThis was a long awaited visit .. and overall I give this place 4.5 out of 5
The expectations were higher but the delivery was not bad at all ..
The food was very good but i thought it lacked a bit of kick to the flavor .. maybe we got used to the different adaptations of Saudi Kabsah and other famous dishes ..
I ordered the Chicken Kabsah .. Grilled Lamb on Azemah rise .. Jereesh with yogurt .. and the famous Muqalqal meat cubes with Tahini drizzle .. everything was very good but I would have preferred a more deeper flavor amd a touch of more spices !! But then again, this is not Indian food !! I understand .
The atmosphere was very nice and the service was amaaaazing !! Loved the vibes .
This is a nice place to eat at while you’re at this historic district ..
I love this place My...
Read moreI recently had dinner at Aseeb Restaurant in Al Zallal, Diriyah. The place has a great vibe — clean, cozy, and perfect for families or friends. The staff were friendly, and the service was good. The food tasted nice and had good flavors, but the rice dishes had too much rice and very little meat. The lamb and chicken portions were quite small compared to the amount of rice, which was a bit disappointing. Prices are a little high for what you get, but the overall experience was still pleasant. Nice atmosphere, good service, and tasty food, just need to improve the portion...
