This is my first time back in Senegal and I am a dark-skinned woman. I never seen people that work at a restaurant so stupid. I came here with a couple of friends to have brunch. There are three spots in the restaurant to sit at, I seen a seating area with a nice view toward the beach so I told my friend to ask them if we can sit there. The worker then proceeds to tell me “You can only sit there if you are going to order food”, I thought to my self and said why would I come here to not eat food? I told my friend what I was thinking and she told them that we will eat there. The worker brought us to the beach view seats. At this time we were still waiting for one friend but we will still order a drink while we wait for her, after that he told us if we are not ordering at this time we cant sit there. Mind you there were only white people sitting at the beach view seats and two black people. The worker then switches his excuse and says this table is reserved for someone. Those were obviously the best seats at the restaurant and they only wanted to save it for the white people. I went to go sit inside so I can wait for my friend, 1hr and 30mins goes by no one comes to the “reserved” seats (beach view). The worker begins to talk smack about us to his Co-workers. A white family comes in and they have no problem and handles them nicely. My other friend arrives so we ask them once again can we sit at beach view they say yes then two minutes later they give us another excuse of why we cant sit there! They told us we can sit on the other side of beach view, the other side was kinda far from the white people. The workers even sat the black people a little far from the white people. I don’t understand how you can be discriminative against your own skin color. The food wasnt bad and the place was a nice place thats why me and my friends chose there. I will never ever go back there again. TERRIBLE...
Read moreThis place is beautiful during the dry season, and seeing the sunset, and the colours in the sky is amazing. The food is okay, the service however needs some improvements. I took my bosses to this place one Friday evening, to relax from work, when we arrived we were directed to seat at a particular table, 2 minutes later, a waiter came to force us to leave the table without explaining why, and this gentleman was so rude that I felt bad bringing my bosses all the way from Almadies for someone to disrespect them this way. I forced the waiter to tell us why he wanted us to move, he finally pointed at 2 ladies who were seating inside, and he said the table has been reserved for them which we understood, but he needed not to be so rude and disrespectful to us. In the end, he refused to serve us and he left. Thank God a gentle soul came to lift our spirits, he was so humble and so kind. I wish I asked...
Read moreI'm totally in love with this place's new look. It's one of the best way to enjoy the beach in the covid area: not crowded, clean, and very nice music. You need to pay a special fee to be allowed to swim (6000 Mon-Fri and 12000 on weekends) but I'd say it's totally worth since there are people watching and ready to step in. This price also keeps the price uncrowded, which is a big plus.
For non-swimmers out there, just grab a cocktail and lay under the sun or enjoy the restaurant. The prices are a bit on the high side but still reasonable considering the location. The food is quality too 👌
Finally, there's also a gym and a football pitch, making it a nice...
