We have been looking for authentic and honestly good Turkish food since we arrived in Belgrade and we have finally found it. Meze is a small, what we would call “hole in the wall” restaurant within a short walk of the Pedestrian Street.
⭐️ for the truly excellent food. I have eaten In Turkey many, many times and this is the real deal. ⭐️ love the food line! The selections change from day to day but they allow you to have ½ portion servings so we ended up sharing six different items plus a very sweet gift of tea after the meal. And, we took home food we simply couldn’t finish. ⭐️ for the great value. The portions as I said are very ample and the prices are good. The place is small but it looks like they do a booming business through Glovo delivery. ⭐️ the couple that own it (he is Turkish and she is from Serbia) are very kind and attentive. We even chatted when she was not busy. ⭐️ no smoking in the place which is wonderful because we were able to enjoy the food and hospitality.
We will be back in person and bring friends and have it delivered...

We got to try the tea even though we didn't order any drinks. Bread was also served with our orders, even when we didn't ask for such an unexpected token of generosity. Needless to say, after a 13-hour train ride and a 3.5 van ride here, it was a relief to have encountered such warm hospitality for both of the hard-working participants in this company. You've got to try the pudding-- it's something to finish your meal off with that certainly...
