The restaurant is at the very center of the spa, in great shade of big trees and near to the small river that cuts the park.
Its garden is wide, offering even high chairs.
Sweets that you can get here are excellent! They are served and arranged with style, and taste just perfect (due rich, hi-quality ingredients).
Too bad they can't match the same quality with the main meals. Everything looks perfect, it is served like in best restaurants of much bigger cities, but the basic ingredients (like pork or chicken meat) are of such low quality, that has almost no taste. It is fresh, for sure, but obviously bought from the cheapest industries... Some meals are over done and made by quick recepies that kill any original taste of the food (like chicken sticks or smoked pork burrito). Chicken sticks are made out of brests that are cut in thin stripes, so crispy, fried flower makes majority of the meals weight. On top of that, breasts are previously boiled (to speed up the process and serving), which killed any remaining taste or softness of the meat.
I strongly believe that many meals are partially pre-cooked and then heatened-up before being served. It makes the service really quick, but loses the quality.
Portions are big enough (some even almost huge). Most of the time I choose between sweet or salty meal (hating to leave half of my food in the plates).
Prices are just indecent. If the main meals were any better, I might not make this remark, but this way I feel robbed: paying full restaurant price for fancy-looking fast food meal...
To be completely fair about the guys: sweets are more than enough reason to come here, and it is not likely that you will find any similar quality or variety anywhere near.
Staff is simply perfect. They are quick, patient and always professional.
I suggest you park on the main lot, at the beggining of the waling area. It is wide, cheap and quite close to Shvajcaria. Actually I LOVE this principle they forced here: you get on your feet and walk through the beautiful, long park, enjoying the air and the atmosphere with no cars allowed.
There is somewhat wheelchair access and many places near to the parking lot, so you do not necessarily need to walk to visit...
Read moreLocated smack-dab in the center of Vrnjačka Banja promenade, right next to the famous "bridge of love", this restaurant is a great choice for both drinks and food. The menu boasts a large choice of foods, also covering special dietary restrictions (to the point there's a basic porridge with water on the menu, something I haven't seen in other restaurants). The food quality is exceptional, meaning that the higher-than-average prices are fine for what you get. The staff is highly professional, kind and very nice to kids (they also have some fun activities for kids like colouring pages and crayons); they also accept modifying dish recipes to suit dietary restrictions. There is a whole separate section of the restaurant reserved for non-smokers, something sadly lacking in most other restaurants in Serbia. The toilet facilities are well maintained and clean. This is one of our favourite places in Vrnjačka Banja, and I highly...
Read moreI went here on several occasions and unfortunately there is no option for -5 for service. However, the food is good (if you get what you've ordered 😁) and location is superb.
Once you enter their realm, you suddenly appear invisible to the staff. If you see them smile, you better run as that is not their natural state, so something is going badly wrong 🏃. I don't eat meat (and they put it into everything), so if you ask to remove it from the dish, they still charge you for it and will refuse to replace it with an egg for 'eggsample' (see what i did there 😉).
I'm a patient soul so I went back few times as I like the food and the location, but if you have thin skin, I would avoid.
Cocktails are good. There are no smoke free areas, so don't take kids there.
WARNING: if you have food allergies, be mindful when they take your order and always check...
