Good value for money, therefore 4 stars review (note: in hotel standards this hotel should be 3 stars). We paid around 160 EUR for two nights with half board.
Staff is very polite and friendly.
Location: 5/5, on the main pedestrian area in Vrnjacka banja. Free parking is secured for the guests, so we really enjoyed our weekend getaway.
Rooms: 4/5 Despite the fact that the hotel is from the communist period, it was recently renovated. Bathrooms are brand new, walls painted and furniture partially changed or refurbished. Overall pleasant for stay. Each room has AC, which is useful during summer, and very good heaters during winters. There is a good hair drier as well and shampoo in the washroom.
Spa: 3/5 If you are coming just for the spa center, it will be below your expectations. Old spa is refurbished, clean, but in general it is small. One small (3 person) sauna, one jacuzzi and pool are available. The pool's temperature is very pleasant, perfect for kids.
Food: 4/5 We had half board (breakfast and dinner) and food was good, buffet style. Nothing too fancy, but you will not leave hungry. Breakfast: continental style - selection of deli and cheese products, eggs, sausages, salty and sweet pastries, cereals and fruit. Dinner: a very nice selection of salads, one soup, cold appetizers (deli and cheese products). As mains they offered 2 types of meat, one pasta and fish dish. Grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes as sides. Dessert table had a few cake options, fruit and pies.

Read moreLooks absolutely terrible from the outside, desperately needs a new facade. Rooms are small and stuffed but modern looking and clean with lots of storage space for clothing. Great water pressure for those who care about that (I do). Disappointed by the fact there was no ironing service, for a 4 star hotel this seemed unacceptable, had to bring my own iron and do it myself on a towel inside the room. I was staying here on a business trip and was horrified by the fact they were serving tap water in already used bottles, of what used to be bottled water, inside the conference hall. Food was decent, lots of choices at the buffet but definitely not gourmet, most sides were not seasoned or even had any salt. Could not get a glass of water from the staff if my life depended on it, they would just politely say "right away" and never come back. There's close to no ventilation at the bar, smoke would get so thick that it was hard to breathe. Bartenders were serving coffee in used cups that they'd just rinse with the help of their fingers (no soap or anything) and this was during the pandemic. Unfortunately because of the pandemic the pool, spa and recreational rooms were closed so can't comment on that but the absence of it made my stay...
Read moreThis massive old regime style hotel, has pros and cons. Situated in the very centre, adjacent to a park, it has a fine location. Staff is friendly and very helpful, but only a couple of them speaks English. The rooms are not really well maintained. Taking a shower in a standard room takes some precaution as the whole place can readily be flooded as the shower curtains are too short. We had to change a room as the aircon was out of order. Room telephone did not work. Breakfast buffet, in a giant, spooky hall, starting at 6.30 hs, time and again only had a full meal after 7.10 hs, black tea not available, hot tea water coming at last. So a bit sloppy. Management should have an eye on it, I suggest. Dinner buffet abundant but of so so quality. No safe, no fridge in the room. But the free wifi is excellent as is the TV. Swimming pool available. So, not bad, but surely not excellent. But the staff we met was OK and very helpful time and again, I would...
