I wanna rebuke that at a price range between $1-$2.50 in a kopi tiam, they should be considered cheap and not expensive at all. It frustrates me to no end when people compare their prices to that of some hawker when we all know rent and general overheads of a hawker stall is a fraction of a kopi tiam.

Taste wise, they are decent and traditional and should be consumed as early cuz that’s when the batches are the freshest. Again, decent variety and comparable to some old school Cantonese restaurants’.

Service wise, again, I do not think the staff was grumpy in fact, they have been patient and obliging despite the long hours.

For those that gave this place a one star, even as I respect that everyone is entitled to their opinion, I find them exceedingly harsh, misplaced, sweeping and sometimes totally unhelpful. It’s no wonder old school stall are closing by the day when we have such difficult and...

I like this place, and their dim sum. A potty that their porridge sells out fast. I always think that a small bowl porridge goes well with dim sum and kopi/teh. As for price, it can go down a little Evey month to thanks the support of all of us? Well just a wishful thinking. Generally this place dim sum can win all places dim sum even Tim Ho Wan or Ting Tai Fong can't win. If one compare carefully.. that latter two package the ambient w their dim sum but their dim sum taste is so so. I hope I didn't annoyed many supporter of the latter two restaurants. Ok lah they are also good lah..I am just praising quality and economical places like this. Again don't just take my words for it, go try and judge for yourself..let your tongue and your inner feeling tell you what is your style...

Suggest to go on a weekday rather than weekend, as the place will be super crowded. Though there's always queue forming, but it's moving fast.

Items we ordered as follows : 🔹Char Siew Pau (💯🈵意! Quite meaty 皮簿馅多) 🔹Chicken Glutinous Rice (Portion is big enough for 2 pax to share & Tasty) 🔹Deep Fried Yam Puff (Yam quite 厚实!) 🔹Century Egg Porridge With Minced Meat & Salted Egg (味道刚刚好!) 🔹Fried Carrot Cake (normal) 🔹Siew Mai (Really HUGE & meaty) 🔹Steamed Pork Ribs (Soft & Tender) 🔹Steamed Beancurd Skin (Normal) 🔹Egg Tart (Maybe you left it a while ago, the crust turned soft) 🔹Chee Cheong Fun (💯 disappointed! The skin was hard...

Simplicity is a bliss when it comes to having breakfast. I chose to start off my day with a simple bowl of congee (lean meat with combo salted egg & century egg), egg tart, fried carrot cake & yam pastry (filling: char siew). Reasonably priced and definitely right taste dim sum was served at Tiong Bahru Pau & Snack, a hidden dim sum place nested nearby the Yuhua Food Market. Overall customer service was efficient and smooth. I just love their egg tart which was freshly baked and the layers of crispy crust had successfully contained the filling, which was not too sweet nor too eggy smell!
