Bistro St. Germain — Restaurant in Bratislava

Wow. Aký úžasný zážitok sme včera mali, vo štvrtok 24. apríla okolo 19:30/20:00. Ja a moja priateľka sme konečne prišli do podniku, na ktorý sme sa tak dlho tešili. Vošli sme dnu, čašníčka nás s veľkým úsmevom privítala a dokonca nám dovolila vybrať si stôl – aká veľkorysosť! Menu už bolo nachystané na stole. Naozaj vrchol pohodlia pre zákazníkov.

Atmosféra? Ohromujúca. Hudba? Perfektná. Dekorácia? Ako z dizajnérskeho časopisu. Boli sme nadšení. Prezreli sme si menu, vybrali sme si jedlá a čakali s očakávaním. Prešlo desať minút… nikto neprišiel. Povedali sme si, že možno majú frmol, počkáme ešte chvíľu. O ďalších desať minút neskôr? Stále nič. Čašníčky pobehovali okolo a obsluhovali každý jeden stôl okrem nás – ako keby sme boli neviditeľní. A perlička na záver? Tá istá čašníčka, ktorá nás vítala… si jednoducho prehodila oblečenie a odišla. Asi jej skončila šichta. Alebo začala kariéru modelky, kto vie.

Medzitým stôl vedľa nás, ktorý už bol obslúžený, dostal ďalšiu objednávku. My? Nič. Ani pohľad, ani slovo.

Tak sme sa jednoducho postavili a odišli. Nikto si nás nevšimol. Legendárne.

Zvyčajne nepíšem zlé recenzie – moja rodina má tiež reštauráciu, viem, aké je to náročné. Ale toto nebola len zlá obsluha. Toto bolo číre ignorovanie a neúcta. Dúfam, že si to niekto z vedenia prečíta a zamyslí sa, ako sa tu správajú k zákazníkom. Lebo toto? To bolo hanebné.

Wow. What an amazing experience we had yesterday, Thursday the 24th of April, around 19:30/20:00. My girlfriend and I finally made it to this place we’ve been dying to try for ages. We walked in, were warmly welcomed by a waitress who kindly let us choose our table—how generous! The menus were already waiting for us on the table. Such efficiency, truly a masterclass in customer service.

The atmosphere? Absolutely stunning. Music? On point. Décor? Instagram-worthy. We were genuinely impressed. We looked through the menu, made our choices, and waited with excitement. Ten minutes passed… no one came. We thought, “Hey, maybe they’re busy, let’s give them a bit more time.” Twenty minutes went by. Still no one. The waitresses were buzzing around serving literally everyone else, as if we were wearing invisibility cloaks. The cherry on top? The waitress who originally greeted us just… left. Changed clothes and peaced out. Must’ve been the end of her shift or the beginning of her modeling career.

Meanwhile, the table next to us had already been served, but they somehow managed to get more attention. We got nothing. Not even eye contact.

So yeah—we left. Just walked out. Not a single person noticed. Iconic.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews—my family owns a restaurant, so I get how hard the industry is. But this wasn’t just poor service. It was flat-out disrespect. Hopefully, someone in charge actually reads this and rethinks how they treat customers. Because this? This was...

Absolutely amazing! Bistro St. Germain, which has by far become my favourite restaurant in Bratislava, serves fresh and delicious food made with high quality ingredients.

Their Beef Burger and Pastrami were definitely our highlight (though everything tasted great) with the latter actually only being available from Tuesday on till they sell out. Both meat and Bread/Buns are homemade and taste amazing.

The only slight complaint I could think of is their potato chips. Sadly, while presented beautifully, the chips are being served in a deeper dish, basically steaming the chips at the bottom, making some of them rather soggy near the end. They'd probably benefit from a wider bowl or entirely open plate.

That said, I'll gladly come back the next time I am in Bratislava. Definitely one of the best burgers...

Wow! Service on a Sunday night just shocking! We arrived for a day’s trip to Bratislava. We absolutely loved the city, went to a few restaurants and cafes and experience was really good so far, but not until we came to this place. We came here at 18:20 to eat and drink... no menus were given, we had to fish a menu in English ourselves. The waitress looked that she didn’t want to be here aka do her job... anyways, we’ve waited for 30 mins to order our food and drinks... with waitresses milling around but not acknowledging us... there was a table next to us with people waiting equally as long.
