I decided to try this place since my other favorite bakeries were closed that day, and I remembered some recommendations. However, I was greatly disappointed with this bakery in their pricing and service quality. I enjoy several months in France per year and tried many bakeries, and I can confidently say that these prices for similar products are outrageous for Bratislava and these products. In France for the same price or cheaper, you can get far higher quality, structurally and by taste better balanced products. Pistachio croissant was fine but nothing special - dough layering was not as it should be, cream inside was very sweet not good balance, very heavy. Apart from the prices, I was also shocked by the service — they lacked proper time management and role allocation. Staff were running around chaotically, giving people incorrect orders. The server making coffee was incredibly slow, preparing drinks one by one. One employee just stood at one place and did nothing even though others were clearly struggling. Another staff member kept running back and forth between the cash register and the tables. I waited 13 minutes for a take-away coffee even that the branch was very small with small amount of people and paid 6 eur for croissant and 3 eur for coffee. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning there are better competitors with nice relevant prices and better quality.

Amazing bakery, probably the best in Bratislava, definitely one of a kind - magnificent place. The menu is created by chef baker himself, and you can also meet him in person at the bakery too, different types of breads for every taste, croissants are super tasty, baguettes look sexy and taste even better, plus there is a selection of French delicacies to go with your bread. 🥖🥖🥖🥐🥐🥐 The space is oh-so stylish, open planned, you can see what’s going on, it becomes the whole experience. But what I love most is the beautiful multi-culti team which is so rare and so cool here in Bratislava, they speak different languages, I heard Slovak, French, English and even Russian and Ukrainian. ❤️You definitely will leave with your hands full of baked goods, BUT be sure to book your safran and cinnamon knot in advance - they go sold really fast ❤️⭐️🥖🥐

I was recently shocked by the prices of the pastry - 2 croissants cost over 11€ 🥲 (I have to admit the raspberry one tasted great) I’ve previously tried some of their other pastries as well (e.g. pistachio bun with white chocolate, cardamom bun), I didn’t eat them right away but they were a bit hard to chew/dry and I wished they had more flavour coming through. (The staleness usually isn’t an issue in other bakeries such as Kruh or Fleur) There’s a limited seating inside and outside and I think there’s no toilet? (a sink would be nice for washing your hands after messily eating the sweet pastry)

I have been going to this bakery chain quite frequently and did not have any concerns regarding the pastries, until now.. There were several times when I got sour Choux that were inedible. I asked the staff about it and they claimed that they sell the ones they make the day before. It’s ridiculous how you claim that you sell “fresh pastries daily” which is not actually true. Prices for some products are out of sanity. Especially for limited edition items. How can you charge 13€ for a tiny bento cake and 5€ for a choux with a vibrant food coloring? You may be using expensive ingredients to make them, but they do not make up for the taste. Specifically at Blumentálska, some staff members act as if they are unbothered to do what they are being paid for. This might be a place where you can get aesthetically pleasing pastries, but after my recent experience with not fresh pastries I don’t think I can...
