Pivný Raj - Mlynské nivy — Restaurant in Bratislava

I love this place. This is not a bar but a beer shop. In the summer, they have benches outside on the avenue. Inside, you'll have high bar tables without seats. They have an amazing collection of beer from all over. The shelves are full of different sorts of beers and ciders, and they have a wall full of fridges, also completely full. They also serve very nice draft beer, and they change the beer menu very often. The price is more than honest compared to other places around. They have private toilets behind the counter that can be used by the customers. The service is fast and friendly, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. The general vibe is relaxed, and people often end up talking to strangers, which leads to interesting conversations. It’s a perfect place to meet the locals. The shop is located close to the Nivy main bus station, between the Nivy area and the old town city centre of Bratislava. Totally recommended for a visit if you want to have a real Bratislavian...

Simona, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. Funny, witty, charming and incredibly knowledgeable about beer. She quickly gave us recommendations, told us about drinking culture in Slovakia and we promised to swing by the next day for another drink!
