We were regular guests for many years, since we really enjoyed the ambient. For the last couple of years this place has really gone south.

We visited them again after last bad experience this winter. That time the table was full, nobody cleaned it for more than half an hour and nobody asked us, if we would like to order even though they saw we were new. The waiter didn't even say hello, he was obvious in a bad mood and did not even look at us. I asked him politely if they can clean the table and some time later, he did. We ordered and waited for that order for a very long time again, the same was when we asked to pay. Outside there were almost no people because of the cold/wind and inside not all tables were full.

Today it happened again, only that after a long wait we weren't served at all. It's true that we were not outside like everyone else, because we wanted to be in a more calm environment (windy day), but we didn't come through some back door, we entered passing the whole team, which saw and also said hello. After a long wait and a few more "let's wait for another 5 min", we simply went to their neighbours Triglav. I highly recommend it, everything there is always perfect - from service to their offer.)

It's very sad since I love Vanilla, I have great memories of it, but I have to say, I think I will never come through their door again. This is the 4th time we tried in a shorter period, since we didn't want to leave the place we are attached to, but only once the service was great, the waiter very friendly (my girl even got a free biscuit from them when we were leaving). This is below everything I have experienced. I understand the busy days (today the team seemed to have enough time, because they were not all busy) but still I think my expectations are not high: friendly hello, to get served and be able to pay. It really is very sad, what Vanilla has become. I hope to see it in a better shape some time again. Until then I can only...

Cajnica means teahouse. They didn't have 2 teas we wanted to order. So make a peek of 3 just in case before ordering. Good serving, ambient, selection, cakes. Seating inside at the upper floor can offer a nice seaside view, better experienced at sundown in chilly winter days. Outside seating is good during season. Upper floor can't be easly accessed by people with handicaps since the stairs are not that easy to climb. Teas are loose and good. Overall the only good tea offer...

After waving and looking at the waitress she didn't come to the table. Hot chocolate in the small HALF EMPTY glass is 3€? Shame! After pleasent asking about it, she answered very unpleasant that we need to talk to the owner and not to her. She didn't even bring us glasses of water, not to talk about saying goodbye after...
