The space has character and clearly aims to capture the spirit of traditional Bosnian dining — though personally, the heavy use of carpets throughout felt a bit off and distracted from the otherwise thoughtful interior.
Tried the ćevapi, but the flavor profile was quite different from what I am used to. Not bad, just not to my taste. On the other hand, the appetizers were genuinely interesting and enjoyable, and the lepinja with kajmak hit the spot.
Unfortunately, the potatoes that came out were completely burned—blackened and inedible—but the staff handled it well, replaced the dish, and even took it off the bill without hesitation. Overall, the service was warm and accommodating, and they had a good variety of drinks on offer.

Read moreUsing the name of the restaurant "Bascarsija" is a huge insult to the people of Sarajevo! The food you serve to the local people here in Slovenia and tourists is complete scam and insult to the people who like and know the real Bosnian/Balkan couisine. This evening in Koper I have to say that I have tried officially the worst cevapi and meat plate in my entire life. Usually I don't give the reviews, but this is something I have to share with the people, 2/2 times this week I have been extremely dissapointed with food which is nowhere close to the food I have tried accross the whole region. Read moreNow this place is going to blow your mind. If you like grilled mixed meat and all things from balkan plate this is the place to visit. The staff is fluent in serbian/bosnian and will also give you some extra round on the house. The place is affordable and has outdoor sitting, however the parking is next to the town market so be prepared to walk about 200 meters to the establisment. It is an etno restaurant so the overall vibe is very balkanese including the music. The staff is very helpful and polite, I as someone who loves serbian/bosnian ciusine found no differences between dinig in Bosnia/Serbia and this place except the price. Cost for a diner per person will total you (including drinks) max 30 eur if you order beer and extra 2 shots. Overall best...
