My wife and I were visiting from the United States for my birthday around Memorial Day this year and wanted somewhere to grab some lunch, and I Googled this establishment, and it had some pretty good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. Ad soon as we walked in, we could tell the establishment was pretty roomy in the front portion of the restaurant, which was really empty other than a couple that looked like they were grabbing some lunch also. But for the most part, it looked like all the action was in the back part of the restaurant, which looked to be a courtyard of some sort. So we were greeted by this lady who seemed to be nice and asked us where we wanted to sir and we decided to sit in front of the restaurant which seemed to be less congested and busy. We literally sat there for over 20 plus minutes before we even offered a menu or something to drink. My wife initially said to me, "Let's go," but I said, "Let me see what was going on first. I was able to get the attention of a bald-headed gentleman who seemed to work out in the gym, and he came over. He asked how he could help us, and I explained that we were sitting here for over 20 plus minutes without anyone coming over to check on us. He seemed to be pretty annoyed by the situation and got someone over there immediately. We were able to order and get our food and drinks. I would describe the food as good. Nothing spectacular. But the service was not up to standard. It seemed to me that the place was understaffed. But what may have helped the situation would have been that the hostess who sat us down could have probably taken care of us until the waitress was able to. The reason was that she wasn't doing anything but just walking around the whole time we sat there unattended. Just an FYI... I can't say we would visit this establishment again if we visited...
Read moreWhat a horrible experience, we visited Saturday evening 01 June just wanting to have a quick bite we walked in an no one was available to seat us eventually someone noticed we were standing and waiting for a table, waitress came up to us we asked for a table for 2 she took us to our table, eventually another white female waitress came up to us and told our waiter to move us to a different spot. Hungry and agitated at this point we eventually sat down and the waiters completely forgot about us, we waited 10mins to receive the menu which is absolutely disgusting we ended up having to get up from our table to ask for menus, I've honestly never experienced this bad service at such a well known establishment a few bigger groups arrived shortly after us was seated immediately and menus brought to them immediately it was quite obvious certain people of colour received much better and quicker service and their waiters were so bubbly. We felt so uncomfortable we asked for our bill while eating and decided to pack in everything to go as we could no longer handle sitting here the only friendly face to mention was a younger waitress who brought out our drinks. I never managed to catch any of these girls' names - food was good, but no place is worth visiting if the service hints of racism. Its safe to say I will not be returning, nor will I even think of recommending or visiting any other Jerrys establishments, I understand it was month end and things were busy but it was clear the place being busy was not the issue here, I've visited many busy establishments and received outstanding service. Jerry's...
Read moreWaited 2 hours without any food only to having missing items from what we ordered.
Arrived at 8:10pm, and got seated at around 8:25pm. Waiter/manager came after 20 minutes to take an order of 7 people without a pen. The waiting/manager says that it's a busy night and we might expect food to come in around 15 to 25 minutes which we felt was doable. The drinks came at 9:30pm, took 40 minutes to brink out 3 Coke Zero's and we asked this waiter where our food was and he said he'd go find out. Never returned. We go to the manager/waiter that helped us initially and asked where the food was and without the slightest apologetic attitude he argued that he said it would take 25 minutes initially and it was our fault for choosing to wait. At this point we had already waited 50 minutes. We asked for the progress of our food and he said he'd would go find out. Comes back after 10 minutes to say it'll take another 10 minutes. By this time 9:50 most of the tables have left (curfew at 10pm). At around 10 ish the food game missing orders. He just got another waiter to collect the payments and didn't handle the situation at all. He apologize to a friend privately and said we could finish the food until we felt ready to leave at the restaurant despite the 10pm curfew but it'd be breaking the law on both our sides and wasn't really a solution. Perhaps he could have offered to bring chips or nachos during our long wait instead of making us chase after our food progress after a...
