I had the pleasure of visiting Moro Gelato on Long Street, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The shop has a charming, minimalistic interior with a European café vibe – clean, inviting, and perfect for a quick indulgence or a relaxed treat.

The gelato is truly artisan quality. I tried the pistachio and dark chocolate – both were incredibly smooth, rich in flavour, and clearly made with premium ingredients. You can really taste the difference from the commercial stuff. They also offer a good selection of vegan and dairy-free options, which is a great plus for anyone with dietary restrictions.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to let me sample a few flavours before deciding. Service was quick despite the place being fairly busy.

Prices are very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. It’s also perfectly located for a quick dessert stop if you’re exploring the city centre.

The ice cream is always on point, proper gelato like how you would find in Italy with a creamy texture yet not icy. The quality of the ice cream can not be ignored. One thing I do have to say to anyone trying here is that flavours are more muted and natural, it is not like the ice cream you’ve been having at Hagendas, it is just different but still really tasty.

Service has been a hit or miss I have noticed the occasional staff members being understaffed to 2 people. The seating areas outside can be a bit dodgy in Long street at night and parking is a bit of an issue if you can’t on Long Street.
