Read more..a truly magical place to be celebrating my 72nd birthday 🎂 at where the dishes served are as close as dammit to home cooking! Home baked bread 🥖 and cocktail “Vet-Cakes” are served on the table. Service is Royale, being served by JJ who has been here for the past 20 years working with both owners! It’s fascinating because every time he makes a round there is a new story to be shared about the history of “Noop” The bestest story is where the name “Noop” hails from apparently the first owner went on a trip to the USA 🇺🇸 and he crossed parts with “Snoop Dog” and liked the name soo much that he adopted a nick-name for himself “Noop”! Here is another fact “Zian” the current owner is also the chef so one can savour the passion in every dish that comes out of the kitchen, very unique and insidiously delicious and very home-lii only absolute-lii professional presented. I had the Kalahari “Gemsbok Carpaccio” and stuck to Game by having the Kalahari “Springbok-Loin” both dishes was top class succulent and just about melted in my mouth. The “Mussel-Starter” was so different from other restaurants as it is served in a milk-ii garlic sauce very yummii. Our mains was: - 1, Deboned Lamb neck served with farm fresh vegetables. 2, 200g Rump-Steak served with a side of your choice and onion rings. The meals served was so sufficient that we only ordered one dessert 🍮 and that was the Chefs Caramel treat which the kitchen turned into a “Birthday-Wish” plate so delightful-lii beautiful almost not wanting to eat it up. We real-lii had the time of our lives here and will recommend a visit to this restaurant to all We will most definite-lii return here in the near future. NB! There is enough rooms available on both floors for Private Dining! A love-lii private bar upstairs with a very interesting display of lots of different whiskies and even a private “Cold-Room” with very unique and expensive wines up-to R15000.00 per bottle..Toilets are clean and very well...
Read moreLast time I visited I didn't eat but saw beautifully presented dishes coming from the kitchen. This time with my Valentine date a must eat occasion..!! Food was on par with expectations at the prices being charged. Very nice balance of flavours in each dish. It was busy (Valentines night) so meals coming thru was a little slow but I suspect the expertise of meal construction takes a little time anyway. . Chocolate fondant seems to have become standard fare on today's dessert menus and I've had a few. Noop's is the best I've ever encountered. So fried calamari and pork belly were our starters both superb especially the calamari. Duck and lamb neck followed also excellent. Most of our meals were quite rich and fatty and, as a nutritionist I'd like to see a little more emphasis on vegetable portion size with the mains. (I understand that can disturb the plate presentation) Let me say tho', the cutest most delicious baby carrots cooked and presented to perfection. Our waitress was brilliant, please forgive me not remembering her name. Expect waves of gastronomic heaven to wash over you. Oh... I nearly forgot my date, but she was super eye-poppingly beautiful in a red...
