Simply Asia Paarl — Restaurant in Drakenstein Local Municipality

It was the worst experience of my life. We got there ordered and were told it would be ready in about 20min. Well we waited for an hour people came in and out and we waited. When we eventually asked we were told the was a mistake with the order. No one had the decency to come and tell us no they just carried on. After the inquiry they said another 2 min we waited for 3min still no joy. Then we said pls cancel the order. Then they called the Manger who offered a discount. We promptly refused and asked for a refund. I would never recommend this branch to anyone. Not if you want to eat when you hungry. You might never eat if you wait on them.!!!! So as you can see I was asked to send a email with my detail so they could contact me. The manager I think did call me but then proceeded to lie by using loadshedding as an excuse for the bad service. Looks like he did not read the complaint as we were there. There was no loadshedding. This is a very bad reflection...

Simply Asia Paarl use to be the BEST simply Asia in the western cape. After going through a recent change of ownership, it's very sad to say that I would not go back (after 2 attempts since new ownership).

The staff appeared very unprofessional, they acted very unprofessional and the manager was not helpful at all. Keep in mind we were only 3 tables occupied at that time. The tables of customers who left was never even cleaned in the 2 hours we sat there.

We waited 40min for 2 glasses of water, one hour for 4 portions of Sushi and one noodle bowl. When we finally received the food, they had the Sushi order wrong. (Had to stand up and go look for soya sauce and a bowl too) After receiving the wrong Sushi 3 times in a row (I mean how hard can it be to bring me what I ordered it's on your menu???) We just decided to pay and leave.

Beyond disappointed and will not go back, I'd rather drive all the way to Durbanville next time I crave...

Ordered on the app and was quite surprised at the 45 minute wait. Nevertheless, I quite like Simply Asia’s food so go ahead and order 2 dishes. I arrive to collect my order after 50 minutes, despite the app saying my order is not ready… “It’s not ready yet, it will be another 30 minutes, is that OK?” “Not really” I reply “OK, let me find out, someone will be with you shortly” I proceed to stand, unhappily, in the middle of the restaurant floor, only to be ignored for the next 15 minutes. There are 3-4 tables seated and max 5 take aways collected in this time. Suddenly my order gets handed to me with no apology or explanation. It took more than 1 hour to receive my order! I know it takes longer at Simply Asia, but this is not acceptable, nor is the indifference with which i was treated at the restaurant. Very sad to leave this review and can only hope it was an...
