Updated Review: 03 Nov 2020 Jackson & Black Paarl were gracious enough to let me host my wedding party for supper at their restaurant. All I can say is amazing service!!!! I was so nervous that such a large group of people might be too taxing on the staff at the restaurant, but they pulled out all the stops and the service was amazing. Majority of the staff was friendly and helpful and they made the whole night a success. I can't thank every staff member that helped us enough and a special thanks to Jacques for all his effort and attention to detail and amazing amazing service. And as per usual the food was delicious! This was a terrific night out. There were many menu options to choose from. I struggled to decide what I actually wanted, since there were so many things that sounded so great. First time at Jackson and Black – and what an experience!! Our waiter, Ozzie, was super professional, attentive, and just out of this world! He was funny, spontaneous, and full of energy.

The starters were good – we had the mushrooms. I would just suggest a bit more sauce; it would make the dish even better.

The mains were AMAZING! I'm not usually a steak person, but they had me at blue cheese and fig. I ordered a medium steak with blue cheese sauce, figs, and Camembert cheese – oh my soul! It was doek sag – I mean!!!!! I can’t even explain!

And then we shared a cheesecake. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend sharing – hahaha – it’s too good to share.

Book a table for Mother's day. And I have to say this is one of the best places I've been in a while. We got really good seating. We ordered a bunch of starters for the table chilli prawns and pork belly was definitely my favorites. Food was all around great, I had the ribs for my main, and it's fall off the bone tender! Food came out pretty quickly, staff was super friendly and came to check on us a bunch of times, the mothers also got a complimentary glass of champagne and chocolate. Will definitely be back.
