We booked a table for 6 people on Thursday night for my daughter's birthday. On arrival, the hostess was busy on a call, and we witnessed how one of your waiters remove the reserved sign with our name on it from one of the booths. She proceeded to move her 3 overweight, black guests to our 6-seater booth, as they were not happy with their table; a little 4 seater freestanding table in the middle of the passage. The hostess, now finished with her phone call, proceeded to seat us at our reserved booth, only to find the other 3 already seated there. She informed the waitress about us, but in the end we were seated at the little 4 seater kitchen table. Luckily our 2 guests decided not to join us and we ended up only 4 people. Our waitress was very embarrassed and apologized, but for us the evening was spoilt. Every single person who walked passed, had to push through the narrow gaps between our kitchen table and the rest of the fancy seating, awkwardly apologizing every time.

One can only wonder what the reaction would have been, if we were seated at their reserved booth, and they had to sit in the passage.

This is once again a reminder that we are unwelcome guests in someone else's country.

We have money, and in future will spend it somewhere where we feel welcome. I gave our waitress a R 300.00 tip as she put on a brave face and really tried her best to make our evening less painful. But be warned, make sure you don't exclude the people you depend on for your turnover.

Had the worst experience at this establishment on Valentines day. Arrived at the time of booking, only to find out that nobody knew of my booking. Walked around with the waitress to eventually find the booked table. Didn't really know who our waiter was and just sat there waiting. Finally got attended to and asked if we would like our complementary champagne, which we answered yes to.20min later, after walking by our table the whole time, he finally remembered we were waiting. Ordered 2 beers as we assumed the champagne wasn't coming. Finally got the champagne and 2min later the 2 beers.

20min later we got our starter and order our mains seeing that everything was delayed. 30min waiting for a 300g steak and a schnitzel. Didn't see the waiter from dropping off starter until mains was brought to the table.

Half way through mains we were asked our desert order seeing that the kitchen was closing.5min later our desert was on the table, we were still busy with mains. So when we finally got tot desert, the toffee pudding was cold and dry and the brownie was soggy.

This was a real disaster of a evening. They weren't that busy and were running a set menu. The kitchen being slow isn't an excuse if you are running a set menu. Management was nowhere to be seen. The kitchen made the waiter look bad and I understand that, so he still got his tip.

Honestly the worst service of the four times we went there. The previous three times were appalling, but tonight was exceptionally poor. Our waitress was more interested in tending to her grooming, nails, make-up, standing position, and looking out over the balcony. She brought menu's and left without checking if we would like to order. We decided to order drinks and food together. When she eventually came around, I said to her, in no uncertain terms, loud and clear, we would like to order drinks and food together, as we were starving. We ordered our drinks and without looking in our direction, walked away. She brought the drinks and we ordered fish, I said I wanted mine to be grilled, not fried. Again, without looking in my son's direction, she walked away. She brought him fried fish, without requesting his choice. She never pitched again, until we indicated in a distance that we want the bill. We complained to the general manager, saying her service was exceptionally bad, to which she replied that the waitress has been with them from the beginning.
