I ordered a hazelnut iced coffee shake, something I was genuinely looking forward to as a treat. Unfortunately, the moment I tasted it, I could tell something was wrong. The shake had a very strange and unpleasant taste — not just slightly off, but really bad. It didn’t taste like hazelnut or coffee at all. There was a sourness and almost chemical aftertaste that made me stop drinking it immediately. It was honestly hard to tell whether it had spoiled ingredients or if something was just terribly off with how it was made.
What made it worse was the way the situation was handled. I politely mentioned the issue to the staff, expecting at the very least an offer to remake the shake or provide something else. But instead, there was no real effort to help or resolve the situation. I was told I couldn’t exchange it or get a new one, which felt dismissive and quite unfair, especially considering I barely touched the drink. I didn’t expect a full refund, but I did expect some sort of acknowledgement that the drink was not up to standard.
This experience left me disappointed and a bit frustrated. I understand mistakes happen — maybe it was a bad batch or just a one-time mishap — but the way it was handled made me feel like my concern didn’t matter. I didn’t want to cause a scene, so I just left the shake behind and walked out, but I felt I needed to share this feedback.
I hope this review is taken seriously. I’d still like to enjoy Wimpy in the future, but experiences like this make it hard to feel confident ordering something new again. A little customer care...
Read moreI was long standing client of Wimpy in paarl mall, but after my last experience I decided never again. I ordered 3 x hash breakfasts thru Mr Delivery.. The items arrived. The crispy onions I ordered extra was soaked in its own oil at the bottom of the bag in a milkshake container. So now I don't have crispy onions. My 3 x slices of toast are so hard and dry, no butter , that I can use it for a door stop. The eggs are runny and raw after I asked medium cause on medium wimpy always overcooks them. The bacon is rock hard and overcooked and the containers are so full of oil I cancook another egg in that oil on its own. There are 6 x hashbrown cubes per box. I phone wimpy,complain and tell them that Lady grey wimpy gives more hashbrown cubes and the quality is better. I get told by the manager of wimpy paarl mall that he will speak to wimpy lady grey cause they give out too much hashbrowns. Yet I don't have a problem with wimpy lady grey. I have a huge problem with his store in paarl mall. Cause the items I ordered are incorrect and not correct according to service regulations. So yes..... the Manager of wimpy paarl mall will never see me again cause thus is the 4th time...

Firstly I ordered a burger, on its arrival I realized that there were no onions and gherkins on.. Consulted with the waitress and she then asked me if I still wanted the onions and gherkins, which my response was yes, not taking my burger with she came back with onions in a bowl and gherkins in a bowl.. They truly wanted me to reassemble my own burger.. Secondly I called the Manager told him the situation, which in his case was that the person who made the burger forgot to put the stuff on, not also taking my burger and let them put the stuff on or not even asking me if I want something else... He told me to put the stuff on and he is sorry... This is a first for me and very disappointing... In fact it felt like I was working there busy making my own burger.... I'm still so upset and don't think I'll be dining...
