Read moreThe service experience was really shocking, which is a pity because the restaurant and the views are stunning. Our waiter lost interest in us as soon as he realized we were not having dinner. I went for a drink and brought my kids to have milkshakes to try the place as we just moved to Paarl. I asked about high chairs and the waiter said they do have them inside but did not offer to bring one. I asked if I can get an extra chair and he let me get one myself and did not help. He brought milkshakes, my baby spilt it all over himself and the table (no high chair) and he did not clean up, I DID, but he did not remove the mess for the whole hour we stayed. He ignored us the whole time so I had to go inside to ask for water when my daughter slit her lip open. He still didn't clean up the mess on the table, which by now was full of tissues. It was disgusting. I had to get someone to call our waiter for the bill. I am so disappointed at the service. I still tipped well because I have some dignity but I think the staff really need some training in how to be decent human beings as...
Read moreThe service today was appalling. Waiters hanging out at the front door around the wine-cask every five minutes. Very slack to come over. I had to put my hand up and try and wave them over to the table a few times. Waiters didn’t understand questions that were asked. My dad ordered ribs, but no finger bowl or wet wipes or basket for the used serviettes and bones. I asked the waiter to bring us a finger bowl with some lemon, meaning sliced lemon in the water of the finger bowl. I first had to explain to him what a finger bowl was. He then brought us a large soup bowl with three halved lemons on another plate. Food were not great at all. Cape Salmon were overcooked, tartare sauce were average. Calamari was good. Chicken Lemone was terrible. Overcooked chicken and sauce had no flavour. The “pinch of chillie” was nowhere to be tasted. The butternut was totally overcooked and the green beans...
