John Dory's Hemingways Mall — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

We were disappointed that this specific John Dory's lack the quality if food expected from any sitdown restaurant. Firstly, there wasn't any stock of the drinks we ordered. Secondly, we ordered Oysters. They were covered in a creamy chilly sauce and underneath were tiny oysters. The oysters were very slimy we had to send them back to avoid getting sick from them. Thirdly, we then opted to order sushi instead. The salmon seemed dry and pale, but to avoid making a scene we ate it. An unfortunate decision, as we both have food poisoning today. We hope that this issue will be taken seriously and trust that the manager looked into the oyster problem. Makes me wonder what else...

Has the worst experience there . I ordered chefs special tirumasu dessert and requested our waitress , attending our table to pack it as a take away .

After we finished our food , and asked our bill and take away . As she comes with our takeaway , she tells us , next time you can’t take tirumasu in a parcel as my manager now shouted at me , that I am giving away the glass . Later on , she takes the Tiramasu and dumps it in a coffee take away mug and forgets our Icecream .

What upsets me is the fact that, we requested for a take away , while we made the order . It was not a last minute request . And secondly there was no apology.

I'm not one to usually complain. I understand that loadshedding is taking its toll on businesses. But I think that this restaurant should really do something to have at least all the items posted on the menu or else take it off. I cant understand that you leave your house to enjoy a meal at a restaurant and they literally pour your cold drink from a 2 Liter bottle and sell it as if its from the soda fountain. The atmosphere in this establishment is really bad. With a mall full of people during school holiday they can barely manage to have 3 full tables in the entire restaurant.
