Wimpy — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

My partner and I decided to go for a late breakfast and the only place we enjoy going to for breakfast is Wimpy. We decided on Wimpy Greenacres in PE. To start off with we ordered a regular coffee (R29.90) and a regular Coke (R22.90). My partner ordered a Hashbrown breakfast (R56.90) which consists of two fried eggs, two rashers of bacon, a portion of hashbrowns and a slice of toast. I went for the Double Up breakfast (R67.90) with two fried eggs, two rashers of bacon, two pork bangers and a slice of toast. Both breakfasts were served with butter and jams separately. We shared the hashbrowns and the pork bangers. The food was great, the portions decent and all in all good value for money. We did, however, leave the restaurant rather disappointed. We were still contemplating on whether we were going to order something else to drink when the waitress came to clear the table. She did ask us whether we wanted to order anything else but she had the bill with her already. Let us face it, being presented with a bill if you did not ask for it feels as if you are being rushed. Maybe that is the way the restaurant operates but it is a definite no-no for me. Maybe we will visit Wimpy Greenacres again and I hope the next time we will not leave being...

Cant complain about the service as there is no service!!!!!!!!

Walked in. The male waiter walked right pass me. Went and stood at the front door. I went and sit at a small DIRTY two place table infront of the till.

I waited and waited. I got up and went to the till. The teller saw the guy at the door walking towards us with menus and said here he comes.

Hahaha...he walked straight pass with a new customer that walked in. Definitely not to me.

I went and sat down and with still nobody attending to me i walked out.

My husband said lets go back and see what happens when he comes in with me.

We walked in sat down. We sat at the same dirty table. Nobody attended ..even with 4 ladies behind the teller counter.

One lady came and put the menus down, wiped the table and left.

My husband called for assistance as they split and the teller called a waiter.

The service is non existing. Too nice to rather stand together and laugh behind a counter or ignore you when you walk in to support the Wimpy.

Please check your camera. All evidence is there.

If they want to work in the service industry, i suggest they behave accordingly and appropriately, otherwise dont deal...

By far the worst experience I've had at this place. So yesterday I went in for lunch, a nice lady gave me a table and a menu. A waiter came in to take my order, a different one came with my hot chocolate, and then another one came with my lunch a little later. Confusing I know. Anyway when the food came I noticed it was all over the place, when I took a closer look it was clearly visible that the plates were Dirty. You could see that they wiped a dirty plate to put my salad bowl on, same thing with the burger and chips plate. With a closer look I saw a hair string. Called a waiter passing by and told her, to which she called the one waiting my table. She quickly came and took the plates, the one who welcomed me came to ask what was wrong with the food and if I'd like to order a different meal of course I said no. She said 'okay then I'll go bill you for the hot chocolate'. I left so disappointed and nauseas at the same time. Don't think I'll be visiting...
