My friend and I we were at your restaurant last Saturday which was the 26/04/2025, we came with high expectations but everything was a flop from the beginning. Let me explain in more details, the service wasn't that great at all, the Milkshake that my friend had we sent it back as it tasted horrible, all we could taste was ice and for the burger we had it wasn't that amazing like you guys advertise on your website and it isn't very filling, it was served on a large plate with no presentation whatsoever. Not even chips or onion rings come with the burger, you have to order it seperate which is expensive. The table we sat at wasn't very clean as for the utensils it looked old and dirty . The waiters on duty dress slutty and the barman and waiters were keep on touching each other like they had a thing going on. My friend told me that the vibe felt very sleazy which made her very uncomfortable. Won't recommended this place to anyone, and next time we will rather go to Burger King or McDonald's where you pay one price and get a burger, chips and drink all in one.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I received at Hudsons Kloof on 1 February 2025 at 19:15 - 19:50.
After being seated, our waitress, Andile, handed us the menus and assured us she would return to take our order within two minutes. However, she disappeared, and we did not receive any service from her after that. Meanwhile, we observed other waitresses serving a couple who arrived after us, and they received their drinks within five minutes.
Despite our attempts to signal for assistance, none of the other staff members checked on us. The two waitresses in our section actively avoided making eye contact, and no effort was made to ensure we had been helped.
As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I fully understand how busy this time of the month can be. However, a simple check-in would have prevented this frustrating experience. The fact that, after 40 minutes, we were not even given the opportunity to place a drinks order was unacceptable and extremely disappointing.

Read moreWe were so frustrated with the service that we didn't even get to enjoy the food. After paying the bill in cash, it is up to the customer to decide whether to leave a tip or not. The proper etiquette is to first return the change and then let the customer decide the tip amount. However, after we paid the bill, no change was returned. When we asked the server about it, she casually laughed, "Oh, I thought it was for the tip, I'll bring it right away."
20 minutes passed, and no one came. We had to ask again, and after another 5 minutes, they finally brought the change, but 5R was missing. The waitress said, "We didn’t have the right coins…" and placed the money on the table without even looking at us. This was extremely rude and unprofessional.
Additionally, the cocktail we ordered was automatically charged as a large size without anyone asking or informing us during the ordering process. We only noticed this issue when we were paying the bill.
