The Gardens are beautiful in December. Lots of activity, families having picnics etc. Played giant chess. Saw about 5 vagrants, or ‘boemelaars’ in Afrikaans, sleeping under trees or on benches. They mind their own business. The old man Cecil John Rhodes is still there, doesn’t look like he made it to 50, but he had an enormous impact in...

…nel fantastico scenario del Company’s Garden!!…per cui mi trovo a Città del Capo!!…ho visto questa statua!!…che raffigura Cecil John Rhodes!!…un personaggio famoso!!…è stato un imprenditore e politico britannico!!…un grande uomo d’affari!!…che si costruì una grande fortuna sfruttando le ricchezze naturali dell’Africa meridionale!!…che poi venne a mancare prima dei cinquant’anni!!…la statua lo raffigura in piedi!!…con un braccio puntato verso l’entroterra africano!!…una statua di Cecil John Rhodes si trovava anche al campo dell’Università di Città del Capo!!…che è stata rimossa!!…per via delle proteste studentesche!!…ma poi la statua è stata portata via!!..e messa in un deposito!!…che dire!!…è pur sempre una bella opera!!…è la statua di Cecil John Rhodes!!…all’interno del Company’s Garden!!…Città del...
