I enjoy going to popeyes for the nights I dont feel like cooking the chicken is always tender and juicy and customer service on point. Especially from the one tall guy he has a jovial vibe love it and the female I think manager.

Lastnight I decided to get popeyes theres a short female who took my order she wasn't friendly I had to repeat my order back to her then she stood around chatting distracting the lady getting my order together and I saw she got it wrong and asked the tall guy to help her and repeated my order. The shop was empty at the time and I gathered their was no supervision around having worked in hospitality I know how it goes. The tall guy assisted a few customers came in she then assisted a guy and midway leaves him and unpacks my already packed parcel to check. I said you standing and talking the whole time now you want to talk. Very rude loudly she tells me I'm not talking I'm not talking. I was appalled how do you talk to a customer like that I just took the food and left. If I have to deal with such attitude I'd rather not go again at all.

The chicken was dry not as tender and the strips were abit soggy I put them in the microwave just to make sure.

This place has the best mash and gravy from any fried chicken shop I've ever been to (That's right, I'm looking at you KFC).

The fried chicken itself is juicy - I always get the spicy chicken.

The strips combined with the mash and gravy are to die for.

The burgers are also pretty decent.

The biggest drawback about this particular shop, is that my wife and I were mugged here in Decemebr 2022 (exactly 1 week after relocating to JHB) and the manager did nothing at all. Absolutely nothing at all. Instead he sat behind the counter having himself a laugh with the staff. I get that the staff couldn't do much, but the manager ought to atleast come to speak to the victims and find out tif they need anything. This guy didn't do anything of the sort. Worst client service...

The lady who was assisting us was friendly but distracted. We ordered family meal, which was suppose to come with x2 chips and x2 mash and gravy. She didn't advise us that there was no mash and gravy,therefore she will give chips instead ( my highlight of going to Popeyes is the mash and gravy). I didn't want to be difficult so I accepted the chips. Then the straps were suppose to come with x3 sauces. Our food was packed we left, when we got home , the sauces and serviettes.
