Stay far, far far far, far away. Management response to this was disgusting. No ventilation, slow service, and only 2 card machines for a club event filled with over 100 people. Also, pizza was spicer than both your "hot sauces," and it was supposed to be a plain margarita pizza. You couldn't even get that right. Charged me R184 for 3 waters, which is a huge overcharge, and made me wait an hour and a half for them when we had already been dancing. I'm surprised no one passed out from heat and dehydration. A friend ended up carrying a fan, and that saved us from passing out. Even if you have 5 balconies, if you have a lot of people, air doesn't get in due to people blocking the entrances. So it's not baseless. Please respect your customers as your responses to people's claims as baseless is rather rude considering that it's not out of nowhere. If everything was great, I would've said so. Would not come here again. And for reference, let me show you how packed the place was today before you say my claims are baseless as there was one aircon that wasn't even working. Check your facts. Awful management response. If you can't cater for the number of people you are expecting in your venue, don't book the event and then don't call customers complaints baseless when we complain cause you can not handle the capacity...

If I could rate this place less than one star, I would. Would I go back? Never ever. We arrived there as a group of 4. Not alot of people were at the place, to be quite frank, we were the only people there. No drinks menu, the drinks we wanted, they didn't have. The music was way too loud. We ordered food, which we waited over 2 hours to receive, waiters and waitresses were nowhere to be found. While we were waiting, we saw a food delivery bike, seems like the food isn't made there. When the food got there, it was not worth the wait, the prawns had a foul smell, the meat had too much salt, everything is just wrong about that place. They even gave us short change and their card machine wasn't working 😕they must just close that place down, it's awful...

i think monkey bluz is an extremely vibey up and coming local spot in Jozi. the people are friendly , food is amazing and music that will have your seat wondering where you are. all places have areas in which they need work and in my opinion, the doorman is where work needed can be applied.

I think when people who don't know how to control their alcohol intake get too rowdy , it takes away from the good time everyone else is trying to have , if the situation is not removed or handled with due diligence. bouncers would be able to do this for those people.

I highly recommend taking all your friends and stepping out to MonkeyBluz for some amazing food or just a great vibe...
