Del Forno Lemon Tree — Restaurant in Gauteng

I am so angry with Del Forno right now I could scream. Firstly we are two old age pensioners almost in our 80s who cannot afford to throw money away. Secondly we ordered food as we have been having medical treatment in Jhb and had had to abstain from food - so we were ravenous thereafter and just looking for a hot meal and not a burger or chicken type fast food meal. Our meal arrived. (photo attached). The Malanzane had so much salt and I am not inferring it was salty - it was totally inedible. Our throats actually started burning after only one mouthful. We then thought we would share the El Greco. This was "supposed" to be in a spinach sauce which somehow had gone awol and it was non existent. So for R285 plus the tip to the very nice delivery man - over R300 - we are going to bed hungry - and R300 out of pocket. I tried calling them to no avail - and we are leaving back to our hometown early tomorrow morning otherwise I wish fish the food still in the containers out the trash bin and take it to them and demand my money back. I am so disappointed and let down with the Lasagne I ordered from this Del Fornos, the quality of the 3 servings I just paid for is down right appalling, so much so that it angers me that I wasted R356 for a dinner I didn't enjoy or even finish. I was starving and looking forward to having a good meal only to be left still starving. Not only did they get the order wrong giving me 2 beef lasagne and 1 chicken lasagne when I actually ordered 3 beef lasagne... I even (just to be sure) repeated that my order was for beef lasagne and the lady talking my order confirmed but what drew the line for me was the fact that I finally sit down to eat my dinner only to be further let down by the awful circus of flavours that don't correspond to what a lasagne should taste like at all!!

What happened to the standard quality of food at this Del Fornos?? What was once one of my favourite go to restaurants for good pasta dishes had now left me with such a bitter taste in my mouth.. Excuse the pun... If I could put a rating of -2 for...

Ive been here twice and the service I got was very bad , my first there I ordered 2 everyday breakfast and the Flapjacks 20 minute later I was served my everyday breakfast no flapjacks I even finished my breakfast no one came to check if all was ok and even when I tried calling a waiter they was no response I did not get to taste the Flapjacks I enjoyed my breakfast so I had to give u guys the benefits of the doubt went there again this time same meals came 45 minutes later I was even starting to want to leave as I see the white man getting served and I was there 1st no waiter paid attention to my table my food was served with no salt or butter waiter had attitude for days... Total experience was just bad not coming there again food I would give a 5 star it...
