Fishaways Morningside — Restaurant in Gauteng

I visited the shop on a quiet, warm Sunday afternoon. I placed my order, which was a hastle as all the menus are electronic, so as a first time visitor I felt it was very user unfriendly. The lady at the register told me there would be a 15 minute wait, so I took a seat. After about 20 minutes I started looking around, but the lady was out of sight and the Fish Aways counter was manned by a gent in a Steers uniform. I looked at him and he just looked back, so I waited. After more than half an hour a got up and asked him if he knew where my order was. He then said, it was done a while ago, but he didn't call me because he thought I was just sitting there and someone was going to pick the order up later... Does this happen? Do people go into take away restaurants on hot Sunday afternoons and just sit there? Without ordering? Restaurants in derelict strip malls with no view, and just sit? Do restaurants not call out order numbers to the people waiting? Obviously calamari that has been sitting out for 20 minutes is tough, the meals were half cold and conversely, the coleslaw was warm. I must say that I am very disappointed with the food I received. I placed an order online last night, ordered their Trio family meal and what a waste of my money. I understand the fish is petite but what I got was broken tiny little pieces of fish, if it tasted better it would've at least made a difference. Their rice was overcooked and tasted like it was off not mentioning their chips that were hard, even my 8yr old daughter had something to say about the food. Terrible quality today which is surprising as the food is not usually great but has been reasonable up to now over many years! The food was fried instead of grilled as was asked. The Chips were stale and the salad old. You have just lost a longstanding customer. I post one star because that is the lowest rating permissible.
