Why is The Wedge (managed by Mowana Properties) the ONLY shopping on Rivonia to send out a message at about 13h00 informing public that their tenants doors are closed or will close due to looting issues apparently in Sunninghill. This has gone viral and as usual such messages that promote hysteria usually get embellished by people that pass it on. If the Wedge wants to become the one shopping centre that people are put off going to ( esp in these turbulent times ) then keep making such decisions. Tried to phone Phaledi the centre manager and her phone is off!!! You would think if such a message of pending doom was issued the manager would be in crisis mode and have her phone switched on. I phoned Woolworths and the pharmacy to confirm "rumour" and neither of their employees seemed to know anything/ particular details about it!! As far as they were concerned they were open!!! Phoned Mowana and was told it is protocol to prevent injury to customers otherwise and being sued!! Why the other shopping centres along Rivonia not reacting in such a manner - probably are more responsible regarding the " news" they...

Always been a very happening center but the building is a nightmare and traffic is going to be even worse, especially when leaving at the already busy intersection. To make things worse, if going towards highway, since the government has just re-tarred Rivonia road, without even thinking of widening the road to allow an extra lane, and I'm sure they not worried about going home traffic as much as coming in traffic, to Sandton, with the same slip lane as before can only mean a traffic lock-down during peak times. Fat chance of getting more than 1 car out per robot change, with Sandton drivers plus taxis pushing in. The worst thing is the government re-tars that road every 2-3 years, it's less and less a gap each time. The road is, as per government, supposed to last 5+ years before needing resurfacing. So at the next resurface, it probably has been done 3 times in 5 years. Where is the money going, especially since the road used to last 5 years, has not gotten bigger in the last 25 years has it, so MORE FRAUD....
