Jackson's has been made for the foodie who wants to be healthy. The food is incredibly fresh, organic, very good for you. There is a restaurant within the shop where they use some of the ingredients that they sell in the shop. The food is made and prepared with the good of the body in mind. The only reason I didn't give out a whole 5 star is due to the high prices of most of the goods. Unfortunately, a vast majority of people who want to live healthier, organically and ethically can't afford such food. Quality is directly proportional to price. I do hope though that more and more stores and entrepreneurs will look at Jackson's and see them as an example to follow into the future. I am also very happy to know that Jackson's supports local farmers and those that ethically source their food eg.free range.
In conclusion Jackson's is a pioneer in good, quality food that's reasonably priced for the quality given. Definitely support them and make it a mainstream thing to seek healthy and ethically...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLast month, my mum (who's a pensioner) went out for a brunch treat with her friend. She ordered a dish that contained smoked salmon and cream cheese. when the dish arrived, my mum noted that it was very oily/greasy. When she tried the dish, it was not edible and the oil was overpowering. She then told the waiter about this who did not appear concerned and made no attempt to have the meal fixed or get a manager to discuss with her. Instead by mum removed the fish and continue to eat the cream cheese portion. My mum started to feel ill by the time she had arrived home which continued through to the next day. She could barely eat anything for a while. Not only was this awful customer service at the time but my subsequent direct complaint to Jacksons via their website seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I have not had any contact from them. This is not fair treatment given the high prices and expectation of a decent standard of food, and especially not when a pensioner...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to have breakfast this morning, 3 February 2025 at Jackson's kyalami corner. Looking forward to my experience after seeing the Jackson's advert on YouTube. My order looked delicious and so was the taste. The greens were plentiful, but to my disappointment the rockets were dirty, sandy and had some webs. That spoiled my meal. I communicated with the waitress and she was apologetic and offered me something else or more rockets. I opted for the something else, a juice similar to the take-away juice I had ordered.
When it came, it looked nothing like what I had in front of me. I thought it was because the other one had been made earlier so it has settled. When I got home I tasted the take away juice and tasted the "compensation juice". Besides the fact that they looked different, the "CJ" was a watery carrot juice with some greens and a touch of ginger. I threw it in the drain. Second...
