The worst service I've ever received from a McDonald's!
We went through the Drive-Thru at 22h40. Nobody answers us at the machine so we drive to the first window. Get there and the lady was laying on railing with her arms tangled crossed in it, and as my husband apologizes to her for coming to the window (when she just didn't answer us over the machine) she says "ya 'kay, what's your order?" but we continued to place the following order: 1 quarter pounder with cheese, extra pattie meal + 1 grand chicken special meal. Not very difficult or big. We have to wait in a parking for our meal. Our meal is brought at 23h05, and it's the wrong order. They gave us 2x grand chicken spicy - so both burgers are wrong. By this time they've closed the Drive-Thru so I get out of the car. The ladies are sitting by the counter, shoes off in their socks just showing me they're closed. It takes a good 10 seconds of pointing to the burgers I'm holding for her to get up and take a leisurely stroll to the door. She takes the burgers with such a weight on her shoulders from me hey. 5 min later she returns saying our food is coming. (OH by the WAY! She did not offer for me to wait inside even though it was freezing cold - she locked the door behind her). After 10 min hubby comes to stand by me. Another 10 min goes by, and the chef comes out saying he cannot prepare the quarter pounder as they've already switched off the grill so they can only do chicken(but remember, the lady told us our meals are on the way). Fine. Just give us food at this point in time. Another 10 min goes by, and another customer pulls up in a Ford Ranger SLAMMING the door of his car closed on his wife. He opens the door again, and slams it even harder this time before he starts walking towards the entrance. What does our lovely McDonald's Alberton staff do? They walk to the door and lock it so he can't enter (the chef did not lock behind himself), but they don't offer for us to go inside either (AGAIN) and they all run to the back of the kitchen. No, we just have to sit outside with this guy who's in God knows which state of mind. He wasn't that bad and turned around, but our food took yet another 8 min before the chef brought it to us. We eventually left McDonald's at 11h35 - almost an hour for 2 freaking meals, and one still wasn't what we wanted! How pathetic of McDonald's Alberton. What a disappointment and I hope the staff receive warnings because this is...
Read moreThe Worst McDonald's Experience: A Tale of Unacceptable Service
Visiting McDonald's is usually an enjoyable experience characterized by quick service, friendly staff, and consistent food quality. However, my recent visit to a specific McDonald's location was anything but pleasant. This experience, marked by rude workers, an excessive wait time, and unprofessional behavior from the staff, stands out as the worst McDonald's experience I have ever encountered.
The ordeal began the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Instead of the usual warm greeting, I was met with indifference from the workers behind the counter. There was no acknowledgment of my presence, no welcoming smile, and no offer of assistance. It was as if I had walked into a ghost town where customer service was a forgotten concept. This initial impression set the tone for what would be a disastrous dining experience.
After placing my order, I was prepared to wait a few minutes, as is customary at any fast-food establishment. However, minutes turned into half an hour, and eventually, an entire hour had passed without any sign of our food. Throughout this agonizing wait, I observed other customers receiving their orders and leaving while we remained ignored. The lack of communication from the staff was incredibly frustrating, and no one seemed interested in explaining the delay or offering any sort of apology.
As the wait continued, my frustration grew. I approached the counter to inquire about the status of my order, only to be met with hostility. The worker I spoke to seemed annoyed by my question and responded curtly, providing no clear answer. Instead of addressing my concerns, the staff member's rude demeanor only added to my growing dissatisfaction. It was evident that customer service was not a priority at this location.
The situation took a turn for the worse when the waiter finally arrived with our food. Instead of a polite apology for the delay, we were met with hostility and aggression. The waiter began shouting at us, blaming us for the delay and accusing us of being impatient. This outburst was not only unprofessional but also completely...
Read moreWe order McDonald at least 3 times a week. Normally food is not too bad at this franchise. When the food arrived for this particular order, my boyfriend nearly through up when he tasted his burger. He had to run to the bathroom. I then tasted my burger and it tasted way too salty. I think they accidentally put 10 times the amount of salt in than normal. I couldn't stomach it. We then decided to return the food and we drove to the McDonald's. The guy we spoke to at the restaurant was very rude to my boyfriend and proceeded to say it's Uber Eat's problem. My boyfriend then told the guy that it was not that the food was cold, but that it does not taste how it should. It just tasted terrible. Eventually the guy agreed to give us new food. Still didn't taste great but it tasted a bit better. Nevertheless, this experience put me off of McDonald's completely. Can't believe we had to go through all this trouble to get a decent meal which we paid for. I wouldn't be surprised if we were the only people who returned their food today. I would suggest to rather use Lemon Tree's McDonald's. Can definitely not recommend this one as we had such a poor and unpleasant experience. Probably won't eat McDonald's ever again because of...
