McDonald's Newtown Junction — Restaurant in Gauteng

I'm extremely let down by our recent visit to your establishment. My family and I came excited to enjoy a meal together, but what we got was a subpar experience that left a bad taste in our mouths - literally.

We spent a significant amount of money, R520.50 to be exact, expecting a certain level of quality and service. Unfortunately, we were met with slow service, which set the tone for the rest of our disappointing meal.

To start, we didn't receive any condiments or cutlery, which seemed like a basic oversight. When I specifically asked for no ice in my drink, I was surprised to find it filled with ice anyway.

The food itself was sloppy and unappetizing. Both of our Macfeasts were presented in a haphazard manner, with toppings and fillings scattered all over the place.

I had asked for extra lattice on my chicken foldover, but what I got was barely a sprinkle - just a single slice of tomato and an overwhelming amount of spicy hot sauce.

To top it all off, the milkshakes we ordered were watery and lacked any real flavor.

Needless to say, we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. For the amount of money we spent, we expected a much better experience. Hopefully, you'll take our feedback to heart and make the necessary improvements to provide better service and quality food to...

An amazing place to get a McD meal , amazing service from staff except the supervisor….

Yesterday the 20th February 2025 I set out to buy myself some fries and juice after a long day I had, only to find that at 19:50 the store had been closed yet if you research the operating hours of the store they are from 7am - 9pm.

One of the staff members asked me what I wanted , I told her fries and juice she agreed to do so for me then the supervisor appears no greetings to a customer ( Me ) she just immediately says we have closed when I tell her no I’m just here for fries she continues to say they have closed and they should have closed a long time ago but in that point in time it was 19:55.

I don’t work at a McDonald’s but I do know that customer service is very important so dismissing a customer before even politely greeting them for me is already rude, the manner of speaking too and if ever there have been changes to the operating hours then that should be updated by the store online.

In all this what shook me was I’ve been to that McD multiple times at 20:00 it’s never...

This franchise has been disappointing for far too long, and this recent experience was the last straw. I’ve had several unsatisfactory visits here, but this one really bothered me. They served my family and me pre-frozen ice cream swirls that looked like they had been stored and likely rejected by another customer.

To make matters worse, they handed us the ice cream without a serviette, and the staff touched the cones with their bare hands! It’s not only unappetizing but also a serious health risk—there was no way I could eat that.

The customer service is consistently bad, and the staff are unprofessional and inattentive. I’m genuinely disappointed in the lack of care and hygiene. Would not recommend this location at all. Rating this store 1 star is far too nice. You...
